    • In a control apparatus for an automatic transmission having multiple speeds constituted by four sets and speed selecting mechanisms corresponding to the four sets, assuming the speeds as seven among eight speeds of A to H in order of gear ratio, the four sets are constituted by a first set of A having a largest gear ratio and C that is next but one; a second set including at least H having a smallest gear ratio; a third set of B and D between two of the first set; and a fourth set including two of E, F and G between the second and third sets, and one of first and second pressure regulators selectively supplies hydraulic pressure to two of the mechanisms corresponding to the first and second sets, while the other thereof selectively supplies hydraulic pressure to two of the mechanisms corresponding to the third and fourth sets.

    • A hydraulic control device is provided with a linear solenoid valve, a shift valve, and a controller. The linear solenoid valve has a gain switching chamber which produces a biasing force in a direction to close the linear solenoid valve to switch the gain characteristic of the linear solenoid valve when oil pressure is supplied to the gain switching chamber. The shift valve is configured to be switchable between a supply state in which the output oil pressure from the linear solenoid valve is supplied to the gain switching chamber and a blocked state in which the supply of the output oil pressure is blocked. The controller brings the shift valve into the supply state when a necessary oil pressure of an engagement element is high and into the blocked state when the necessary oil pressure of the engagement element is low.

    • A hydraulic control device for a transmission is provided. The hydraulic control device regulates hydraulic pressure from an oil pressure source to generate line pressure, and selectively applies the generated line pressure to at least two kinds of controlled objects. The hydraulic control device includes: linear solenoid valves each controlling hydraulic pressure to the line pressure in accordance with electromagnetic force of a solenoid; and switching valves each selectively switching at least two kinds of controlled objects to apply the hydraulic pressure applied from the corresponding linear solenoid valve to the switched controlled object. The hydraulic control device further includes a feedback oil passage provided for each of the switching valves. The feedback oil passage is branched from one of a plurality of output oil passages of the corresponding switching valve. The feedback oil passage is connected to a feedback port of the linear solenoid valve.

    • In an hydraulic pressure supply apparatus for a transmission, it is configured to have a first hydraulic control valve supplying signal pressure to a pressure regulation port of a regulator valve that regulates discharged pressure discharged from a hydraulic pump to line pressure; a second hydraulic control valve regulating the line pressure and supply it to a lockup clutch; a connecting section connecting a hydraulic passage connecting the first hydraulic control valve and the pressure regulation port with a hydraulic passage connected to an output port of the second hydraulic control valve; and a selecting mechanism installed at the connecting section to select higher pressure between output pressures of the first and second hydraulic control valves such that the selected one acts on the pressure regulation port.
