摘要： Disclosed is a liquid crystal panel that can prevent a light leakage from the outside through a sealing portion and that can achieve excellent display quality and a narrower frame. The liquid crystal panel 10 is provided with, in a non-display region 10B on a surface of a first substrate 11 on a side facing a second substrate 12, a black matrix installation area 30, which includes a black matrix forming section 32 and a black matrix non-forming section 34 that is enclosed by the black matrix forming section. A sealing portion 16 is formed in the black matrix installation area 30 such that a portion thereof that makes direct contact with the first substrate 11 is arranged in the black matrix non-forming section 34. On the side of the first substrate 11 that is opposite to the side facing the second substrate 12, a light-shielding member 52 that can block any light regardless of a polarization degree is disposed in a section that corresponds to the black matrix non-forming section 34 such that a part of the light-shielding member overlaps a black matrix 24 through the first substrate 11 interposed therebetween.

摘要： An object is to provide a lighting device with improved workability in assembling a light guide plate, a display device and a television receiver using this lighting device. The lighting device according to the present invention has LEDs 16, an inclined surface 32A to which light from the LEDs 16 enter, a light exit surface 31 which emits the light, and a light guide plate 30 with the light exit surface having a rectangular shape in a planar view. The light guide plate 30 has the inclined surfaces 32A and 32B inclined in a form protruding outside the light guide plate 30 in one direction of the light exit surface 31, as both side surfaces in the one side direction of the light exit surface 31 get closer to the side of the light exit surface 31. The inclined surfaces 32A and 32B on the both sides have symmetrical shapes with each other. One of the inclined surfaces 32A and 32B is a light entrance surface and is facing a luminous surface 16a of the LED 16.

The plurality of light-emitting elements each include a reflective electrode, a transparent electrode, a plurality of light-emitting layers, and a semi-transmissive and semi-reflective electrode stacked in that order. The plurality of light-emitting layers emit light of different colors. A surface roughness of the transparent electrode in the light-emitting element which is among the plurality of light-emitting elements and in which light emitted from the light-emitting layer closest to the reflective electrode is amplified and emitted outside is greater than surface roughnesses of the transparent electrodes in the other light-emitting elements.

A light-emitting device includes a first lower electrode and a second lower electrode over an insulating layer; a partition which is formed over the insulating layer and positioned between the first lower electrode and the second lower electrode; a projecting object formed over the partition; a first light-emitting unit over each of the first lower electrode, the partition, the projecting object, and the second lower electrode; an intermediate layer over the first light-emitting unit; a second light-emitting unit over the intermediate layer; and an upper electrode over the second light-emitting unit. A recess is formed by a side surface of the projecting object and a side surface of the partition.
