    • PURPOSE:To permit to compact a whole device and improve thermal efficiency by a method wherein a combustion chamber is formed in the inside of an inner cylinder, and a tail pipe unit is formed so as to flow exhaust gas of pulse oscillating condition between an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder. CONSTITUTION:In a pulse combustion device 22, a double pipe 25 is provided with an inner cylinder 23 which one side end of it is closed and other side end is open, and an outer cylinder 24 provided on the outside of the inner cylin der 23. A mixture supplying pipe 29 and an igniter (ignition device) 30 are inserted respectively in the closing end of the inner cylinder 23 and a combustion chamber 34 is formed in the inside of the inner cylinder 23. The tail pipe unit 37 is formed so as to flow the exhaust combustion gas of the pulse oscillating condition by annular space R between the outer cylinder 24 and the inner cylin der 23, and the whole constitution of the pulse combustion devise 22 may be simplified.

In this case, as the inner cylinder 31 is structured to be the same tube diameter from the burning chamber 32 side to the tail tube part corresponding part 33, the burning gas flow rate can be increased, the increasing of the maximum burning quantity can be contrived, further, the outer cylinder 1 can be heated uniformly over whole part thereof, accordingly, the stabilzing of pulse oscillation can be achieved.

The vaporization chamber 13 and the flame hole part 15 have each a flat shape in the cross section of a path through which a fuel and the primary air reach the frame holes. Heat released from the external walls of the vaporization chamber 13 and the flame hole part 15 is recovered by the secondary air to improve the efficiency of a combustion apparatus as a whole with a reduction in heat loss. This also increases the area of the internal surface of the vaporization chamber 13 with respect to the capacity of the vaporization chamber 13 thereby achieving an efficient vaporization of the fuel.

    • PURPOSE:To discharge the vaporized fuel at a steady flow during a low fuel flow rate in the same way as it is at a high fuel flow rate by providing a fuel reservoir to store part of the liquid fuel that is supplied to the main body of a carburetor and inserting the end section of a wick on the side of the suction into the inside of the fuel reservoir. CONSTITUTION:With a carburetor 4 the fuel is sucked up from a fuel pump 11a to a wick 12 through the fuel in a fuel reservoir 13 that is filled while in the high combustion zone in which the quantity of combustion is much, and the pulsating flow is absorbed by the fuel stored in the fuel reservoir 13. Namely, when in the pulsating flow that enters a casing 5 from the fuel reservoir 11a, the fuel does not enter the casing 5, the fuel that is stored in the fuel reservoir 13 is sucked up alternately to the wick 12 through the end section 14 for suction. With this arrangement the fuel suction by the wick 12 is continuous without an intermission even if the fuel entering the carburetor 4 pulsates. However, the vaporized fuel out of the fuel injection nozzle 3 of the carburetor 4 is a flow with no variation, that is, a steady flow.

This constitution enables increase of a heat transfer area of each of the combustion chamber 14 and the tail pipe 15 compared with that available when they are formed in the shape of a circle in cross section. Thereby, nitrogen oxide concentration can be reduced without particularly changing carbon monoxide concentration.     • PURPOSE:To suppress the amount of NOX exhausted and to reduce a running cost, by employing a structure for heating an outer pipe and installing a muffler between a tail pipe and the outer pipe. CONSTITUTION:An outer pipe 25 with a bottom is concentrically installed around a tail pipe 3 of a head part 1. The opening part side of the outer pipe 25 is communicated with the open end of a passage 8 of the head part 1, and an exhaust passage 26, through which the opening part of the tail pipe 3 is connected to an exhaust port 9, is formed by a space provided between the tail pipe 3 and the outer pipe 25. This enables formation of a heating part 27 which can heat the outer pipe 25 by means of combustion gas exhausted through a tail pipe 6. A pipe 29, forming a cylindrical muffler with a bottom having a number of pores 28a bored in the peripheral surface and the end surface, is placed so that it surrounds the tail pipe 3. This enables reduction of the amount of NOX exhausted and a running cost, and allows reduction in the total size of a device.
