    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pavement material for a draining elastic pavement, having high adhesive force to a roadbed and excellent in performance for draining water impregnated in the material in raining.
      SOLUTION: Drain grooves 11 each of which has the semicircular section are provided on a contact surface 10b side to a roadbed 13, in a pavement material 10. The drain grooves are so inclined as to be prevented from being simultaneously trampled by both wheels of a vehicle, and they are provided at such angles that the wheel on the road center C side passes the drain groove earlier than the wheel on the road shoulder K side. The pavement material is fixed by being bonded to the roadbed provided on the ground surface 14 by using adhesives 12. Since a time lag is generated in pressing of both wheels of the vehicle to the drain grooves, water in the drain grooves can be efficiently drained by both right and left wheels, and water in the pavement material can be efficiently drained. Therefore, water can be restrained from rising to the surface of the pavement material caused by traveling of the vehicle, strength of the pavement material is secured, and the coefficient of friction in braking can be prevented from being deteriorated.
