    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof multilayer film which is good in adhesiveness to a substrate made of concrete, asphalt with sand, or the like, and hardly undergoes separation or bulging of the film even after the lapse of a long period of time, and to provide a waterproofing method for forming the waterproof multilayer film.
      SOLUTION: The film waterproofing method is composed of the following steps. In the first step, a priming composition containing a specific vinyl polymer (A), an inorganic hydraulic material (B), and an aqueous medium, is applied to a surface of a building, to form a priming film. In the following step, a waterproof composition containing a specific vinyl polymer (D), a specific vinyl polymer (E), an inorganic hydraulic material (F), and an aqueous medium, is applied to the priming film, to form a waterproof film.

      SOLUTION: The coating composition includes: aggregates; and an emulsion composition with polymer particles dispersed in an aqueous medium. In the coating composition, the polymer particles are such as to be produced by emulsion polymerization between 40-98 mass% of (A) constituent units obtained by polymerizing an alkyl (meth)acrylate unit having 4-14C alkyl group, 0.1-5 mass% of (B) constituent units obtained by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid unit and 0.1-50 mass% of (C) constituent units obtained by polymerizing another monomer copolymerizable with at least one of the respective monomers, in the presence of (D) 1-50 mass% of a compound having in one molecule at least two epoxy groups and (E) a basic catalyst.
