摘要： Compositions and methods for attracting, capturing and killing populations of cotton boll weevils (Anthonomus grandis Boh.) in boll weevil traps are disclosed. With respect to the attraction and capture of boll weevils with Grandlure, the synthetic pheromone of the cotton boll weevil, there is generally an increased number of boll weevils captured in the trap cylinder when an insecticide dispenser is included in the trap cylinder to kill the weevils and thus prevent their escape. Additionally, dead boll weevils are more accurately counted than live boll weevils. The compound dichlorvos (2,2-dichlorovinyl dimethyl phosphate or DDVP) is the most preferred among those few insecticides that can be used in traps for killing and preventing weevil escapes. This is also the preferred insecticide when combined with Grandlure in a single dispenser to kill boll weevils or inhibit their ability to develop normally and reproduce. The single Grandlure dichlorvos dispenser provides for significant savings in labor expenses in large area trapping and eradication programs and significantly reduces the disposal of waste materials from spent dispensers.

摘要： The present invention is a three dimensional insect trap, for capturing, numerating, determining population levels and controlling insects by physical trapping, mass trapping and mating disruption. The trap is comprised of a bottom piece, a top piece, a device for hanging pheromones, kairomones or other attractants and an area for either a replaceable component used for mating disruption via auto-dissemination, an adhesive-coated grid-marked floor or a capture reservoir for holding soapy water or oil. The trap can be hung within the insect environment by a device on the top piece or by attachment to a vertical stake or pole by use of support brackets.

摘要： A composite board with a multilayer laminated facer is presented having a nonwoven, a first polymer layer, and a second polymer layer. The laminate may be printed on the nonwoven, on the upper surface of the first polymer layer or inverted printed on the backside of an applied film. A number of configurations for the polymer layers are disclosed. The laminate may include exposed fibers on the lower surface or the nonwoven may be saturated. A removable peel-ply may be included. By controlling the placement and thickness of the polymer layers it is possible to tailor additive in the polymers such as colorants, opacifiers, UV stabilizers, and fire retardants to improve quality and reduce costs. In an alternate embodiment of the present invention, a first polymer layer is applied to the topside of the nonwoven and the second polymer is laminated to the first polymer layer as a preformed film. The laminated facer is thermally or adhesively bonded to the composite board.

Buttons and other user interfaces may be included in the accessories. An accessory may have an audio plug that connects to a mating audio jack in an electronic device, thereby establishing a wired communications link between the accessory and the electronic device. The electronic device may include power supply circuitry for applying bias voltages to the accessory. The bias voltages may bias a microphone and may adjust settings in the accessory such as settings related to operating modes. User input information may be conveyed between the accessory and the electronic device using ultrasonic tone transmission. The electronic device may also gather input from the accessory using a voltage detector coupled to lines in the communications path.
