    • Multi-compartmentalized ink cartridges for ink jet printers and improved methods for making the ink cartridges. The multi-compartmentalized ink cartridge includes a molded, open-topped body having an interior cavity and a printhead surface area opposite the interior cavity. A divider wall is integrally molded with the molded body structure and disposed in the interior cavity to provide at least three segregated ink chambers. The divider wall includes a first wall section and a second wall section attached substantially perpendicular to the first wall section. At least first, second, third molded ink flow paths connect each of the at least three segregated ink chambers with the printhead surface area. The second and third ink flow paths are oriented relative to their corresponding ink chambers for molding with a mold insert tool so that the cartridge body does not require a separately attached member to close mold insert tool insertion areas in the body.

    • A method of manufacturing an infusion package 10 comprising a porous-walled container 12 for an infusible substance and a support for the container by means of which the container can be mounted on a rim of a drinking vessel. The method comprises (i) making cuts in at least one web of a semi-rigid material in a direction transverse to the web length to define a plurality of support members 14, each cut defining a first end 16 of one support member and a second end 20 of an adjacent support member such that the first end includes a projection 18 and the second end includes a recess 22 the cutting of which recess produces the projection; (ii) bringing two such support members into opposed relationship with the first end of one of the support members disposed opposite the second end of the other of the support members; (iii) positioning an end region of the container between the opposed support members; and (iv) securing that end region to the support members.

    • A disposable filter cartridge for a pump-filter assembly having a one piece integral pump-filter housing. The filter cartridge includes opposed upper and lower end caps and a tubular skeletal core member open at both ends. A pleated filter medium surrounds the core member and is supported and retained between the opposed end caps. The end caps further include integral flexible gaskets dimensioned to engage pipe fittings of more than one size. A water treatment medium may be deposited within a central portion of the core member. In combination with the skeletal core, a platform means projects radially inwardly from the central core to form a cage-like structure adapted to support a variety of water treatment media. The entire filter cartridge is removable from the housing and may be replaced as desired.

    • An acoustical panel assembly (10) includes a panel (12) having a core (13) made of synthetic material and an acoustical device (26) mounted to an exterior surface (14, 16) of the panel (12). The panel (12) may include an integrally formed attachment member (24) for mounting the acoustic device (26), such as a loudspeaker, an exciter, a piezoelectric transducer, or the like, directly to the panel (12) without the need of a separate mounting member. Alternatively, the acoustic device (26) may be mounted directly to the panel (12) without the use of the attachment member (24). The panel (12) can be formed by a reaction injection molding (RIM) process, a reinforced reaction injection molding (RRIM) process, or a structural reaction injection molding (SRIM) process.
