    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulating joint for a rail, which can locate a rail bottom portion of respective rail joint portions at the center between sleepers, can secure a large distance to a rail fastener, thereby eliminating a fear of short-circuit even if the rails are expanded/contracted and the sleepers are moved, dispenses with exact calculation of arrangement of the sleepers, and the rail fasteners, and is available for the conventional sleepers which are arranged at conventional intervals.
      SOLUTION: According to the structure of the insulating joint, the rail bottom portions 2 of each of rail joint portions 1, 1 are formed at right angles to a longitudinal direction of the rail 3. Then a head portion 6 which is linearly diagonally cut 5 is sequentially connected to a web portion 4 sequentially raised from the bottom portion 2. Then a head top surface 7 is swelled upward so as to make contact with a wheel tread 8, and rail edges 9, 9 to be matched with each other are serially connected together via an insulating means 10.
