摘要： A theft detecting device has a position data-obtaining and communication arrangements which are energized after it is determined that “the automobile is stolen and is now in a stationary state” based on the signals from a state detecting means and time counter means. The communication arrangement transmits a theft notice data inclusive of the obtained position data to the owner and the like that are remote from the automobile or the like which has been stolen. After the data have been transmitted, the power source of the position data-obtaining means is again turned off to conserve battery power.

摘要： The object of this invention is to collect a data without using a specialized system such as sensor terminals and provide a data to a terminal device. The information provision system according to this invention is provided with fixed data transmitters and sensing data transmitters. When terminal device 23 moves into a predetermined space (sensor field), the terminal device receives a predetermined fixed data from the fixed data transmitter, and/or a sensing data obtained by sensing from the sensing data transmitter. The terminal device then transmits these received data to data processing server 21 along with a process request via a network. The data processing server can execute a processing based on these received data and the process request, and generate a process data in order to provide for the terminal device.

摘要： The object of this invention is to offer an information mediating system which can mediate the specific information out of the received information from an information provider. The specific information is information which fulfills the objective specification. This system charges a service fee to the information beneficiary, and pays a compensation to the information provider. The service fee and the compensation are offset for each terminal. The information beneficiary and provider are selected each time according to the objective specification. An information mediating system provided with a plurality of terminals which have both information sending and receiving functions, or either an information sending or a receiving function through a network, and provided with an information mediator which has an information mediating function to mediate an received information through the network. The information mediating function comprises 1) a grouping function to select an information provider and an information beneficiary out of the plurality of terminals according to an objective specification to specify a specific information to be obtained; and 2) a data transmission function to transmit the specific information obtained from the selected information provider, which fulfills the objective specification, to the selected information beneficiary through the network.

摘要： In motion vector prediction encoding, the efficiency of motion vector prediction is improved and the efficiency of moving picture encoding is improved. A motion search is performed for a block to be encoded in a picture to be encoded using an encoded reference picture to calculate a motion vector. A plurality of blocks which include at least one of encoded blocks in the picture to be encoded and encoded blocks in an encoded picture and in predetermined positions relative to the position of the block to be encoded in the picture to be encoded are set as primary candidate blocks, and N primary candidate reference motion vectors are determined from motion vectors used in encoding the primary candidate blocks. The degrees of reliability of the primary candidate reference motion vectors which quantitatively represent effectiveness in motion vector prediction of the block to be encoded is calculated using encoded picture information for each of the primary candidate reference motion vectors. Top M primary candidate reference motion vectors with higher degrees of reliability are selected from the primary candidate reference motion vectors as secondary candidate reference motion vectors. A predictive motion vector of the block to be encoded is calculated using the secondary candidate reference motion vectors, and a residual between the motion vector obtained through the motion search of the block to be encoded and the predictive motion vector is encoded as encoded information of the motion vector.
