    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting method, with respect to greening plantation in a desert region with less amount of rainfall or an area with less water retainability, using a natural processed product as synthetic soil with water retainability obtained by gelatinizing starch followed by low-temperature aging treatment and increased in water absorptivity and water retention durability, raising plants which are sown on the processed product and easily converting an environmental structure without destroying the natural environment.
      SOLUTION: This planting method comprises adding desired plant seeds to granular processed starch or a granular product having starch as the main ingredient and an inorganic mixture of vegetable materials for instance, humic soil, paper flour, wood flour, a bean curd lee dry product, organic fertilizer, calcium carbonate and lime rock powder, and seashell, filling the product in a permeable bag, and planting on a desert region or an arid land so that afterwards the granular product rapidly absorbs water by rainfall and water is retained in artificial soil surrounding plant seeds. The retained water makes a small environment in the permeable bag enabling the plant seeds to sprout, and plants grow after sprouting, absorb from the outside a little water in an arid land and grow, thus greening plantation is performed.
