    • Disclosed is a multi-media document editing system capable of editing display positions (spatial structures) of a group of multi-media data as well as display start and display end (temporal structures) in a simple manner through an editing interface. The multi-media document editing system is provided with a multi-media data storage means for storing a plurality of multi-media data elements, a multi-media document holding means for holding a multi-media document containing structural information relating to time and display position in the reproduction of each of the multi-media data stored in said multi-media data storage means, an editing means for connecting the elements in the structural information of the multi-media document through a link structure element, and a multi-media document reproducing means for reproducing each of the multi-media data elements stored in said multi-media data storage means in accordance with the structural information of the multi-media document which has been edited by said editing means.

    • In a multi-media document editing and reproducing system, a multi-media document is created and edited, using scene data as structurization units of the document, by an editor which edits a reproduction sequence relation of multi-media information elements, the relation between scene data is represented in terms of a link between the scene data, while at the time of reproduction, information element data as constituent elements are read out from a multi-media information element control device in the unit of scene data and in accordance with the multi-media document structure created by the editor, then the information elements are reproduced successively and the reproduction of scene data is performed while following the links. In the same system, a continuation attribute which indicates the continuation of reproduction is added to a track after the end of reproduction of the scene data to which the track belongs, and at the time of switchover of scene data in reproduction, a reproduction processing for continuing the reproduction is performed for the track to which the continuation attribute has been designated.

    • Embodiments of the present invention help to improve the capacity and the performance of a disk drive device. According to one embodiment, a data track pitch is set to each recording surface. The recording surfaces are divided into bands. A hard disk drive (HDD) sequentially moves a head to an adjacent data track in a band and performs a head switch at the band end in its data accessing. On a recording surface, the number of data tracks in each band is variable; and each band is constituted by different number of data tracks as necessary. The number of data tracks in each band is set so that the radial position of the band end comes close to the radial position of the corresponding band end on another recording surface. Accordingly, even if the recording surfaces have different variation rates of the data track pitch in the radial direction, increase in process time due to head switches can be suppressed.

Specifically, the aqueous pigment dispersion contains a pigment; a polymer containing cationic monomer structural units and hydrophobic monomer structural units (hydrophobic-group-containing cationic polymer); and a polymer containing anionic monomer structural units and hydrophobic monomer structural units (hydrophobic-group-containing anionic polymer), in which the ratio of the number of anionic groups in the hydrophobic-group-containing anionic polymer to the number of cationic groups in the hydrophobic-group-containing cationic polymer is 1.0 or more and 8 or less. The molar ratio of the hydrophobic monomer structural units to the anionic monomer structural units in the hydrophobic-group-containing anionic polymer is from 5/95 to 50/50 or the content of the pigment is 51 percent by weight or more based on the solids content. This aqueous pigment dispersion is produced by dispersing a pigment with a hydrophobic-group-containing cationic polymer, subsequently subjecting the dispersion to ultrafiltration/microfiltration, and adding a hydrophobic-group-containing anionic polymer thereto.
