Thus, a control apparatus is provided for a vehicle electric power generator to control the amount of electric power generated by the electric power generator, which is connected to, and driven by, an engine for driving a vehicle. Wheel speed detection means is provided to detect slipping of the wheels, and the control apparatus operates to ensure that, when the amount of electric power generated is to be reduced, if the wheels are not slipping, the amount of electric power generation by the electric power generator is slowly reduced, in comparison with the case where the wheels are slipping.

摘要： In a hybrid car, or an electric motor-driven four-wheel-drive vehicle, in which an electric motor is driven directly by an output from a generator, vehicle running performance is enhanced. The output from the generator is controlled so as to maintain a generator torque in a range, in which the vehicle does not stall. Specifically, a driving apparatus for the hybrid car includes a second generator 2 driven by an engine 1 for driving one pair of either front or rear wheels 14, 15, an electric motor 5 driven through directly receiving the output from the second generator 2 and driving the other pair of either the front or rear wheels 14, 15, and a four-wheel-drive control unit 6 controlling driving of the second generator 2 and the electric motor 5. When the engine 1 is in an overloaded condition, the four-wheel-drive control unit 6 limits the output of the second generator 2.

The hybrid car comprises an engine driven wheel driven by an engine and a motor driven wheel to be driven by a motor for driving the wheel not driven by the engine. The hybrid car has an engine 11, a front wheel 12 driven by the engine 11, a generator 15 connected to this engine and driven thereby, an electric motor 13 for driving the rear wheel 14 using power provided by the generator without being driven by the engine, and a controller 20 mounted on the car to control the output of this electric motor. The controller 20 controls the field currents of the electric motor and generator in such a way that the driving torque of the motor driven wheel to be driven by the electric motor is smaller than the driving torque of the engine driven wheel to be driven by the engine, thereby ensuring traction and car stability.

摘要： A vehicle drive train and drive train system is provided to simplify wire harness including power cables and reduce power loss in an engine-motor hybrid vehicle drive train system. The drive train and system includes some wheels driven by an engine, and other wheels driven by a motorized machine. When the running load is large, for example, starting a vehicle or running on a climbing lane, the motorized machine is activated for driving wheels in order to assist the engine. When no motor assistances is needed (for example, in low to medium load running or deceleration), the motorized machine functions as a generator to convert mechanical energy from the wheels into electric energy. The motorized machine, inverter, capacitor device and controller are integrated into a unit and the unit is attached to a differential gear.
