摘要： A liquid crystal display apparatus including a glass substrate having a liquid display part formed thereon and a plurality of flexible boards connected to a periphery of the glass substrate. The apparatus also includes a liquid crystal drive IC mounted on each of the flexible boards so as to generate liquid crystal drive signals based on input signals. Additionally, the glass substrate has first internal lines and second internal lines. The first internal lines supply the input signals supplied from a first one of the flexible boards to a second one of the flexible boards, and the second internal lines return the input signals supplied from the first one of the flexible boards back to the first one of the flexible boards without any change.

摘要： A liquid crystal display device converts input signals into liquid crystal drive signals so as to display an image on a liquid crystal panel. A plurality of flexible boards are connected to the liquid crystal panel, each of the flexible boards having a drive IC which converts the input signals into the liquid crystal drive signals. A connection board is connected to the liquid crystal panel so as to supply the input signals to first input lines formed on the liquid crystal panel. Each of the flexible boards has second input signal lines for supplying the input signals to the drive IC; a first end of each of the second input signal lines is connected to a respective one of a first group of the first input signal lines. A second end of each of the second input signal lines is connected to a respective one of a second group of the first input signal lines which are formed in positions different from positions where the first ends of the second input lines are connected to the first group of the first input lines.

摘要： A drive circuit device for a display device which drives a plurality of source bus lines provided on a display panel includes a driver unit that receives a clock signal, a data signal and a control signal, sequentially fetches the data signal, and generates drive signals for the source bus lines in accordance to the fetched data signal. The device further includes a gate unit that, after elapse of specified time from the reception of the driver unit, and at a timing when a rear-stage drive circuit device starts receiving, starts outputting of a propagation signal including at least one of the clock signal, data signal and control signal to the rear-stage drive circuit device. Consequently, the power consumption required for supplying these signals and the generated amount of electromagnetic waves resulting from the signal supply can be suppressed.

摘要： It is the object to provide a liquid crystal display to prevent adverse effects by crosstalk and/or EMI. A liquid crystal display, which has a transistor board having a plurality of transistors each including a gate, a source and a drain, a common board including a common electrode and provided to oppose the aforesaid transistor board via liquid crystal, a gate driver for driving the gates of a plurality of transistors, and a source driver with a plurality of source driver units being cascaded, for driving the sources of a plurality of transistors, is provided. Each of the source driver units has flip-flops operated in synchronism with a clock signal, and inverters for inverting the clock signal to output it to the source driver unit in a next stage.

摘要： When an input power supply fed to a liquid crystal display device is cut off, a gate-on power supply for driving a gate line of a display part is automatically changed from a first power supply that reduces luminance inclination unevenness in the display part to a second power supply that causes residual charges in liquid crystal to be discharged. Consequently, at a normal driving time, a good quality display image with reduced unevenness in luminance inclination can be obtained, and at a power-off time, the display due to the residual charges of the liquid crystal is cleared so that an after image can be prevented from being visible.

A gradation difference between the image data to be supplied to the picture elements of the same color of two pixels adjacent in a horizontal direction is detected in a gradation difference judging section, and when the gradation difference is larger than a predetermined gradation difference, it is judged in the same pattern of a size relationship detecting section and a horizontal pattern counting section whether the size relationship between the gradations of the picture elements of the same color of the two pixels repeats in the horizontal direction at least a certain number of times or not. And hence, when the size relationship repeats at least a certain number of times, it is compared with those of a plurality of lines continuously arranged in a vertical direction, and it is judged on the basis of the result of the comparisons whether a flicker occurs or not. And hence, when the flicker may occur over a plurality of frames, a polarity pattern switching signal is changed, whereby a polarity pattern which determines the polarities of the image data to be supplied from a data driver to a liquid crystal display panel is switched.
