    • The present technology relates to a reception device, a reception method, and a program therefor that enable improvement in reception performance when information on a frequency band in which no data is transmitted is known. The reception device receives a broadcast wave of an OFDM signal transmitted from a transmission device at a broadcast station that is not shown. A transmission parameter interpretation unit acquires band information indicating a “no signal” band contained in transmitted control information. An interference rejection filter unit performs filtering at least when a signal with a level higher than a predetermined level is detected on the basis of the band information from the transmission parameter interpretation unit. The disclosed technology can be applied to a reception device that receives OFDM signals, for example.

    • The present technique relates to a receiving device, a receiving method, and a program for realizing a prompt start of data demodulation. A receiving device of one aspect of the present technique includes: a detecting unit that detects a first preamble signal from a frame signal having a frame structure that contains the first preamble signal indicating a frame partition, a second preamble signal containing control information to be used in processing a data signal, and the data signal, the second preamble signal being transmitted after the first preamble signal; an accumulating unit that accumulates the second preamble signal when the first preamble signal is detected; and a processing unit that processes the data signal based on the control information contained in the second preamble signal accumulated in the accumulating unit, the data signal being contained in the same frame as the second preamble signal accumulated in the accumulating unit. The present technique can be applied to a receiving device that receives data transmitted by an OFDM method such as DVB-T2.

    • The present technology relates to a receiving device, a receiving method, a program, and a receiving system which may improve reception performance in the case of receiving a signal with a variable frequency band. A receiving device according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a demodulation unit configured to convert a received signal to a baseband signal in the case where a first frequency differs from a second frequency, wherein the first frequency is a center frequency in a band of the received signal, the second frequency is a center frequency in a band of a desired signal included in a part of the band of the received signal, and a DC component of the baseband signal is to be a frequency in the vicinity of the second frequency. The present technology may be applied to a receiver which receives an OFDM signal of DVB-C2.

    • Disclosed herein is a receiving apparatus for receiving an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signal, namely, OFDM signal having a frame having one frame length of a plurality of patterns, including: an acquiring section configured to acquire information on a preamble signal from the OFDM signal transmitted from a transmitting apparatus in accordance with an OFDM system; a frame determining section configured to determine whether or not the one frame length is short in the frame based on the information on the preamble signal acquired from the acquiring section; and a time interpolating section configured to obtain transmission path characteristics by comparing a pilot contained in the preamble signal and a known pilot corresponding to the pilot in a phase of transmission with each other when the frame determining section determines that the one frame length is short in the frame, and interpolate a data portion in a time direction based on the transmission path characteristics thus obtained.
