摘要： The present invention relates to a program and an information processing method and apparatus with which a connection can be formed reliably between apparatuses having different capabilities. A first application, using a presence function, announces a profile space ID representing processing for a service that can be provided. A second application receives the announcement. The second application requests the first application for detailed information of the service and registration to the service. The second application connects to the first application by peer to peer, based on a URI needed for peer-to-peer access, transmitted from the first application. The present invention can be applied to personal computers, network-enabled CE devices, and commercial application servers on the Internet.

摘要： A deflection yoke for use with a picture tube of a television receiver. A vertical deflection coil of the deflection coil has a larger winding angle on an electron gun side thereof than on a screen side thereof. A magnetic material piece is disposed inside the vertical deflection coil so that a vertical deflection magnetic field is formed into a strong barrel magnetic field on the electron gun side. As a result, a raster scanned on a faceplate of the picture tube is free from misconvergence and pincushion distortion. A core of the deflection yoke has sawtooth-shaped end surfaces, or auxiliary rings having sawtooth-shaped end surfaces are disposed on the end surfaces of the core. As a result, a wire of the vertical deflection coil is prevented from slipping on the end surfaces of the core although the wire of the vertical deflection coil is wound at a large winding angle on the electron gun side.

Used for transmitting data in accordance with a predetermined communication protocol and receiving data transmitted in accordance with the predetermined communication protocol, the transmission/reception apparatus has a configuration capable of executing communication protocol processes by using hardware (in first and second communication-protocol-processing units) and software (in first and second control units). The hardware or the software can be selected properly in accordance with the type of data. For example, a communication protocol process for data regarded as a heavy processing load can be carried out by using the hardware at the high processing speed whereas a communication protocol process for data regarded as a light processing load can be carried out by using the software, which offers the good extensibility.
