摘要： A coating apparatus of die coating type for applying coating solution onto materials such as wires to be coated which includes a floating die having a hole therethrough gradually narrowing in the direction of advance of the material to be coated for allowing the material after having passed through the coating solution to pass through the die, and a thrust bearing provided with lubricating means for reducing the friction in the radial direction and disposed at the outlet side of the floating die in a direction normal to the path of advance of the material to be coated for improved follow-up performance of the floating die with respect to the lateral movements of the advancing material to obtain a uniform coating film on the material to be coated.

The apparatus includes a radial bearing in a position adjacent and prior to a floating die with respect to the advancing direction of the material to be coated, so that the material to be coated after having passed through the coating solution is passed through the radial bearing before advancing into the floating die. Thus, the undesirable lateral vibration of the material to be coated at the floating die is prevented and a coating film of uniform thickness is obtained on the material to be coated.

摘要： A rotary head assembly having a central stationary shaft one end of which is securely joined to a lower housing, a bearing spacer securely fitted over the stationary shaft at the other end thereof and a rotary sleeve disposed for rotation about the common axis of the stationary shaft and the bearing spacer, whereby a hydraulic bearing is defined by the bearing spacer, the rotary sleeve and a lubricant filled into the space between the bearing spacer and the rotary sleeve, and a hydraulic passage is defined between the stationary shaft and the rotary sleeve. The lower end of the lubricant passage is provided with a magnetic sealing means which seals a magnetic liquid so as to prevent the leakage to the exterior of the magnetic liquid or the lubricant. An upper cylinder which carries one or more video signal recording and reproducing heads is removably mounted on the rotary sleeve.

摘要： A flat display device includes cathodes, a screen plate having a fluorescent screen, a plate-like electrode for controlling electron beams from the cathodes to the fluorescent screen, and a frame body for supporting the plate-like electrode. The frame body securely fixes both ends of the plate-like electrode at two opposite sides thereof, and has an elastic body for supporting the plate-like electrode in a stretched state by a spring force of the elastic body. The flat display device is made by the steps of pressing a pair of leaf springs provided respectively at two confronting sides of a frame body to thereby bend the frame body in such directions that the confronting sides become close to each other, securely fixing both ends of a plate-like electrode to the pair of bent leaf springs, and releasing the pressing of the leaf springs to thereby restore the leaf springs.

摘要： A method for adjusting the position of a magnetic head with respect to a magnetic recording medium includes use of a light beam. The beam illuminates the contact area between the magnetic head and the magnetic recording medium so as to generate an optical interference pattern. The position of the magnetic head is adjusted so that the generated interference pattern takes a predetermined pattern. In a disclosed embodiment, two heads sandwich a floppy disk, and one light beam passes through a transparent portion each head. Each beam also passes through a transparent portion of a floppy disk to illuminate the contact region.
