摘要： An forming apparatus of the present invention is provided with a waste-toner transport unit that is installed separately from a photoreceptor drum cartridge. The waste-toner transport unit is pivoted so that the photoreceptor drum cartridge is easily removed from a machine main body. This arrangement makes it possible to miniaturize the photoreceptor drum cartridge and to use the waste-toner transport unit repeatedly. In another image forming apparatus of the present invention, a developer-supplying container, a waste-toner container, and a waste-developer container for receiving excessive developer that has been overflown from the developer tank are integrally formed into a container unit. This arrangement makes it possible to reduce the volumes of the containers in accordance with the respective supplying quantities of developer. Further, a pressing mechanism is provided so that upon replacing the container unit, the developer tank is brought apart from and close to the photoreceptor drum simultaneously with the pivotal movement of the container unit. This arrangement makes it possible to reduce the number of steps that are taken in the replacing operation as well as to prevent misoperations such as caused by negligence of duty in pressing the developer tank toward the photoreceptor.

摘要： A document feeder includes: a document detecting device arranged on the top of the copier body, for detecting a document inserted from the outside; a feed roller arranged adjacent to the document detecting device, on the top of the copier body, for feeding an inserted document into a space between the original table and the original cover, in response to the detection of a document by the document detecting device; and an original cover lifting device arranged on the top of the copier body, for lifting the original cover to create a gap between the original table and the original cover, in response to the detection of a document by the document detecting device. Alternatively, the feed roller further has a rotary cam on its shaft, so that the cam rotates to lift the original cover up as the feed roller rotates in the document feeding direction. Then, after the document is fed in place, the feed roller is reversely rotated in a constant time, whereby the document cover is sunk to press the document onto the original table.

摘要： A waste toner collecting system in an image forming apparatus which forms on the surface of an image carrier an electrostatic latent image corresponding to an original image, develops the latent image with toner and transferrs the toner image onto a copy material. The waste toner collecting system comprises a cleaning unit for removing residual toner from the image carrier after the toner image has been transferred, a container, independent of the cleaning unit, for storing the removed waste toner, and a transport device for conveying the waste toner removed by the cleaning unit to the container, with an outlet formed in the toner transport device so as to discharge the waste toner, a waste toner inlet formed in the container at a position corresponding to the outlet in the toner transport device, and shutter members provided for the outlet and the inlet, respectively, the shutter members being opened or closed according to as the waste toner container is mounted or dismounted.

摘要： Support structures for containing and supporting components forming a digital copier are configured with square pipes and are provided separately in association with a plurality of units of the digital copier. The effect of distortion is eliminated when the support structures are joined to maintain positional accuracy. Square pipes are combined to form each of a first support structure for containing and supporting various components forming the digital copier, for example, an image forming process portion and a fixing portion and a second support structure for containing and supporting various components to be incorporated therein as needed, for example, a sheet supplying portion. To combine the first and second support structures, square pipes and square pipes orthogonal to each other are joined in the regions of joining surfaces. This makes it possible to prevent, for example, distortion and twisting between the supporting structures.

摘要： There is provided a semiconductor device that suppresses the occurrence of resin burrs and has favorable electrical connectivity and bond strength, and a manufacturing method for such semiconductor device. A resin-coated metal part is manufactured by forming an organic coating by depositing a material including functional organic molecules on a wiring lead composed of a metallic material. Each of the functional organic molecules includes a main chain, a first functional group having a metal bonding property, and a second functional group. The first functional group and the second functional group are provided at different ends of the main chain. Thereafter the functional organic molecules self-assemble by bonding of the first functional groups to metal atoms of the wiring lead. After performing the organic coating formation step, resin is adhered to a predetermined surface area of the wiring lead having the organic coating formed thereon.

摘要： The present invention relates to a sandwich immunoassay for rapidly and readily measuring N-peptide using two kinds of monoclonal antibodies recognizing different portions of the N-peptide.
