摘要： An electronic endoscope system includes an electronic endoscope and a processor to which the electronic endoscope is connectable. The processor includes a signal processor for displaying the images captured by the electronic endoscope, while adjusting the color balance thereof, and a memory holding an endoscope database. The processor further includes a CPU that retrieves endoscopic information from a memory of the electronic endoscope, which includes compensation data for white balance adjustment of the processor. The CPU registers the electronic endoscope with the endoscope database by storing the retrieved endoscopic information into the endoscope database when the white balance readjustment of the processor is required.

摘要： A vehicular display device that includes a transmissive first liquid crystal display unit having a plurality of display elements; a transmissive second liquid crystal display unit superposed on the first liquid crystal display unit and having a plurality of display elements; and a controller for controlling the display elements of the first second liquid crystal display units, so as to display information required by a driver of the vehicle. The information displayed by the display elements includes at least first information indicative of a status of the vehicle, second information for confirming an operating setting of a vehicle-mounted device on the vehicle, and third information for indication to the driver. The controller controls the display elements to selectively display the information by selectively energizing and de-energizing the display elements, and further controls the display elements to simultaneously display the information in a non-overlapping manner.

摘要： A direct cylinder injection-type spark ignition internal combustion engine is disclosed. The internal combustion engine comprises a spark plug 6, a cavity 8 formed in the top surface of the piston, and a fuel injection valve 7 for injecting fuel into said cavity in nearly the shape of a fan having a relative small thickness. A side wall 8b of the cavity opposed to the fuel injection valve for leading the fuel to the vicinity of the spark plug, has a horizontal arcuate shape which is nearly symmetrical to a first vertical plane (N1). The first vertical plane is separated away from a vertical center plane (Nc) at the center of the fuel and is nearly parallel with the vertical center plane.
