    • A cover sheet assembly (10) is provided for a touchscreen system (200). The cover sheet assembly includes an insulating layer (12) having a surface (14) configured to be disposed over an electrically conductive area of a substrate of the touchscreen system. An electrically conductive material (16) is disposed on at least a portion of the insulating layer surface. The electrically conductive material includes a plurality of microscopic linear conductive elements (22) arranged in a pattern that is oriented with respect to a first direction of a first polarization of light such that the electrically conductive material is more transparent to the first polarization of light than to a second polarization of light that is polarized in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic wave touch sensor layout capable of including an extremely small border region.SOLUTION: A shearing mode transducer generates or receives elastic edge waves in a touch sensor. The touch sensor includes a substrate including a first surface having a touch region and a second surface to be crossed with the first surface along a first edge. The shearing mode transducer is arranged on the second surface of the substrate. The shearing mode transducer includes a shearing mode piezoelectric element, and a first electrode and a second electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode are arranged on the shearing mode piezoelectric element to cause a shearing movement in a direction with respect to a second plane to be regulated by an X-axis and a Y-axis so as to couple the shearing mode piezoelectric element with the elastic edge waves, and also to provide the active region of the shearing mode piezoelectric element. The active region includes the cross-sectional region of the elastic edge waves concerning the shearing mode transducer.
