摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance treatment capacity and to achieve the reduction of the water content of a cake and the enhancement of cake peelability. SOLUTION: Sludge S is supplied into a filter chamber 2C under pressure to be filtered and a heated fluid F is supplied into a fluid chamber 2D during filtering to make the inner pressure of the fluid chamber 2D higher than that of the filter chamber 2C and the pressure difference between both chambers is used to compress the matter to be dehydrated in the filter chamber 2C by a diaphragm 2E. Next, the heated fluid F is supplied into the fluid chamber 2D under pressure to compress the matter to be dehydrated by a diaphragm using the inner pressure of the fluid chamber 2D. A filtrate discharge passage 2Ho communicating with the space between filter cloth 2B and the diaphragm 2E is provided to be allowed to communicate with a pressure reducing means for discharging a filtrate by a vacuum pump 8B and a natural drain passage 2Hb. A communication passage member 81 is fixed to the peripheral part of the board 2. The communication passage member 81 has a communication pipe line 104 inside, which connects a filtrate groove formed on the outer surface of the diaphragm 3 to a filtrate discharge passage 105 formed on a part nearer to the peripheral edge than the compressed liquid supply space in the board 2, and is not deformed by the expanding force of the diaphragm.

The heat of the heating fluid passing the inside of the heating filter plates 3 is transferred via the heating filter plates 3 to the sludge supplied to the inside surface side 4S of the filter cloth, by which the supply sludge is heated.

In the dewatering using the carbon fiber, sludge is forcibly fed from a raw liquid entrance opening 9 into a filter chamber 3 and is filtered through a carbon fiber reinforcing carbon material and the liquid is discharged from a filtrate exit opening 10 to outside. On the cathode side, the sludge is filtered through filter cloth 8, sent through a cathode side electrode plate 6, a diaphragm 5 and a filtrate hole 7 and discharged from a filtrate exit opening 11 to outside. The dewatering efficiency can be improved by an electroendosmotic action after pressurized water is sent between the diaphragm 5 and a filter plate 2 to expand the sludge.

By lowering the filter cloth 10A, 10B, the dehydrated cake is chiefly exfoliated at the part of turn-around rollers 20. At this time, the filter cloth is always kept in a tension state as the upper and the lower bars are connected through springs 22A, 22B.
