摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a catalyst for purification of exhaust gas suitable for purification of exhaust gas with excess oxygen with which nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons can be purified at high efficiency in any traveling state of an automobile from static traveling to transition state, and to provide the production method of this catalyst and a purifying method of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:This catalyst for purification of exhaust gas is used to purify nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons at one time in an exhaust gas with excess oxygen atmosphere. This catalyst consists of a coexistence of a catalyst consisting of a porous carrier and a catalyst component and a hydrocarbon adsorbent. The catalyst component contains at least platinum. The hydrocarbon adsorbent essentially consists of an aminosilicate having solid acidity and molecular sieve property. Moreover, this invention covers the production method of this catalyst and purifying method of exhaust gas. The catalyst is produced by physically mixing the platinum-deposited catalyst and the hydrocarbon adsorbent. An exhaust with excess oxygen is brought into contact with the catalyst to be purified.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the title catalyst showing high NOx purifying activity within a wide relatively low temp. range by mixing a barium-copper double oxide powder and a cobalt supported zeolite powder in a predetermined wt. ratio. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst for purifying exhaust gas is obtained by mixing a barium-copper double oxide powder and a cobalt supported zeolite powder in a wt. ratio of 0.2:1-8:1. This catalyst can remove NOx in an oxygen excessive atmosphere at relatively low temp. of 200-600 deg.C within an extremely wide temp. range. The NOx purifying action of this catalyst is achieved within the temp. range of 200-350 deg.C by the NOx absorbing action of barium-copper double oxide and developed within the temp. range of 350-600 deg.C by reducing and purifying NOx in exhaust gas and NOx desorbed from barium-copper double oxide by hydrocarbon coexisting in exhaust gas on cobalt supported zeolite.

The iron oxide has a much larger particle size compared to the case that iron oxide is deposited in a soln. state by impregnation. Therefore, the reaction with the porous carrier is hardly caused and the decrease in the specific surface area of the porous carrier is hardly caused.

Then, by multiplying the sum between the deteriorating speed K and the deterioration degree D by an interruption time interval Δt, the deterioration progress degree S of the catalyst within the interruption time internal is calculated, integrated, determination is made as to whether this integrated value exceeds the predetermined fixed value S0 or not and if the answer is YES, the deterioration of the ternary catalyst 10 is determined.

摘要： PURPOSE:To simultaneously remove both of combustible fine particles and nitrogen oxide by providing the first catalyst layer consisting of cobalt and alumina to the filter wall of a feed-in passage and providing the second catalyst layer consisting of cobalt and zeolite to the filter wall of an exhaust passage. CONSTITUTION:Feed-in passages 10 closed on the outflow sides thereof and exhaust passages 11 closed on the inflow sides thereof are provided to a filter carrier 1 made of cordierite having many passages extending in parallel to the axial direction of the carrier and alternately closed at the opening parts of both end surfaces thereof. The filter walls 12 partitioning the feed-in passages 10 and the exhaust passages 11 have pores with a predetermined pore size. The first catalyst layer 2 consisting of cobalt and alumina is provided on the side of the feed-in passages and the second catalyst layer 3 consisting of cobalt and zeolite is provided on the side of the exhaust passages 11. Therefore, the exhaust gas introduced from the feed-in passages 10 comes into contact with the first catalyst layer and combustible fine particles are efficiently burnt and removed even at low temp. of about 350 deg.C in the presence of heat and oxygen in the exhaust gas by the first catalyst layer. Subsequently, the second catalyst layer accelerates the reaction of NOx and HC in the exhaust gas to reduce NOx to harmless components such as N2, CO2 or H2O to remove the same.
