摘要： A child seat is formed of a child seat main portion for holding a child having an engaging member, and a base on which the child seat main portion is detachably mounted. The base has a connecting portion to be connected to a vehicle, and a fixing member to be engageable with the engaging member of the child seat main portion. An engagement releasing member is installed in the base or the child seat main portion for releasing an engagement between the fixing member and the engaging member. Since the base can be connected to the vehicle without the child seat main portion, the child seat can be extremely simply fixed to the vehicle.

摘要： A child seat comprises a seat portion 12 and a base portion 18, the two being releasably connected via spring loaded attachment means 68 and 56/58, which can be operated by button 60 to release the seat portion. The base portion attaches to the vehicle seat via clamps 52, similar clamps 152 are provided on the seat portion to enable it to be used independently of the base portion. Sub-frame 52 rests against the vehicle seat back, to prevent rotation of the base portion about clamps 52. In use, installation of the seat portion on the base portion, prevents the release of clamps 52 from the vehicle seat. Indicating means are provided to allow visual confirmation that the base portion is secured to the vehicle seat.

摘要： A child safety seat has a chair 32, which engages with mounting plate 18 via attachment means 14. Latch means 52 on the mounting plate secure it to clamping bars (not shown) on the vehicle seat. Sub-frame 62 prevents the safety seat from pivoting about the clamping bars and latch means 152 on the chair serve a similar function to latch means 52 thus ensuring that the chair can be used without the mounting plate if necessary, when attached to a vehicle seat. The latching means are adapted to open as slots 54 are pushed over the clamping bars and spring biased to close once the bars are sufficiently engaged. Control member 68 is operable against this spring bias to unlatch the mounting plate from the vehicle seat. Attachment means 14 engages with the mounting plate through flange 42 hooking under lip 66 and through rod 44 engaging with latch 58. Pull buckle 60 serves to disengage latch 58. The attachment means can be prevented from engaging with the mounting plate by vertical rods 84 disposed beneath lip 66. Only when the mounting plate is secured by latches 52 to the clamping bars on the vehicle seat, are these rods retracted to allow chair 32 to be secured to the mounting plate.

SOLUTION: A base 18 is placed on a seat cushion, arms 52 of the base 18 are connected to clamp bards, a floating stopper 62 is pressed rearward and pressed against a seat back, and therefore, the base 18 is fixed to the seat in the longitudinally and laterally immovable fixed state. When a child seat main body 12 is attached to the base fixed to the seat, a flange 42 of a connecting bottom plate 14 is inserted to the lower side of a flange pressing member 66, the front side of the child seat main body 12 is pressed down, and a bar 46 is connected to the base 18 by a bar engaging member 58 and a hook 56.
