    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of torque in a motor at charging of a battery in a charging device, and to make it compact and light in weight. SOLUTION: In addition to motor windings, reactors are provided as reactance for the control of charging, and their magnetic core is shared with a motor. More specifically, the windings of a step-up (-down) reactor are arranged in the grooves 36 provided in a stator 30. The grooves 36 are provided, for instance, on the outer circumferential part of an interphase stator 30, so that the magnetic resistance of the magnetic circuit of a motor will not increase. The windings of the reactor are arranged in the axial direction of the stator 30 along the inside of the grooves 36. The windings taken out of the end surface of the stator 30 are crossed over to a neighboring groove 36, and arranged in the reverse axial direction along this groove 36. By arranging the windings in such a way as to circle a plurality of grooves provided on the outside circumference of the stator 30, the reactor which utilizes the stator 30 as a magnetic core is formed.
