    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a vehicle seat capable of early expanding a side airbag.SOLUTION: In the vehicular seat, a seat back pad 18 of a seatback 14 has an outside expansion portion 18A and an inside expansion portion 18B that receive inflation pressure of the side airbag 30 and expand, the outside expansion portion and the inside expansion portion having parts consisted of dilatant members 44, 46 made of a material having dilatant characteristics. Therefore, when the side airbag 30 inflates, the dilatant members 44, 46 instantly harden by an impact from the side airbag 30. Thereby, the outside expansion portion 18A and the inside expansion portion 18B, and a seat skin 20 which covers the portions are suppressed from being deformed, so that delay of the transmission of the bag inflation pressure to a sewing portion 22 of the seat skin 20 due to the deformation can be avoided. As a result, the seat back pad 18 can be early expanded (opened) by early cleaving the sewing portion 22.
