    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of enhancing the responsiveness of opening and closing a needle valve, while reducing an impact force upon impact of a movable member.SOLUTION: An injector 1 includes: a stator 202 for fixing an electromagnetic coil 201; a movable member 203; a spring 204 for biasing the movable member 203 to a control chamber 13 side; a projection 205 arranged at the stator 202 side; a housing 206 formed in the stator 202 of the side opposite to the movable member 203 in a recessed manner; a projecting/retracting unit 207, which is retractably arranged in the housing 206, and which is projectable to the movable member 203 side more than the projection 205; a spring 208 for biasing the projecting/retracting unit 207 to the movable member 203 side; and a communication hole 203c formed in the movable member 203 of a portion opposite to the projecting/retracting unit 207. In the electromagnetic coil 201 side inside the housing 206, there is formed a constriction part 206b in which a gap with the projecting/retracting units 207 is smaller than that of other portions of the housing 206.

At the time of passing a prescribed time after filling the molten metal into a cavity 20, the core 16 is slid with a piston rod 34 by working an ejecting cylinder 30 to shut off the communication between the runner 22 and the runner 24, and the pressure reduction is stopped and the unsolidified molten metal in the sprue tube 8, sprue 26 and runner 24 is returned back to a vessel. As supply of the heat to the cavity 20 from the molten metal in the runners 24, 26, 28 is shut off, even in the case of being a sand mold 10 having small thermal conductivity, the product part in the cavity 20 can quickly be solidified.
