摘要： PURPOSE:To enable various kinds of frames to be manufactured by a method wherein a rotary shaft is threadably engaged with a movable member by arranging a thread of opposite direction at an interface of a coupling, an outer circumference of the movable member is provided with many divided frame supporting arms, the extremity ends of them are provided with the divided frames to form an entire frame. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 1 is provided with threads having opposite directions at an interface of a coupling 2 at an intermediate part. The lower end of the rotary shaft 1 is connected to a base plate 3 through a bearing 4 and a coupling 2. The upper end of the rotary shaft 1 is also connected to a rotary driving device 5 through the coupling 2. Rotatable members 6, 6 are threadably engaged with the upper and lower rotary shafts 1, 1 of the central coupling 2. Many divided frame supporting arms 7, 7... are pivotally attached to an outer circumference of the movable member 6 through pins 8, 8.... A divided frame connector fitting 9 is pivotally attached to the extremity end of the divided frame supporting arm 7 and pivotally attached to the divided frame fixing fitting 11. The divided frame 10 forms an arc, many frames 10 are overlapped from each other to form an outer circumferential surface of the frame.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a frame and facilitate the frame covering operation by a method wherein a paper-made frame having a water-repellent inner surface is provided on the periphery of skid pipes, the force feed openings having opening and closing valves are provided at a plurality of places of this frame and castable refractories are force fed through the force feed openings for casting. CONSTITUTION:Thirteen tons of castable refractories are kneaded by a mixer located outside a heating furnace and are force fed from a squeeze pump 2 through a hose 3. The hose 3 is divided into branches through a lateral 4 and the branched ends of the hose 3 are connected to the two force feed openings 5 having their respective opening and closing valves and formed at an interval of 5.5m in a paper frame 6 disposed on the outer peripheral surface of a long core metal 7 throughout its length. The refractory materials are force fed into the paper frame simultaneously through the two force feed openings 5 to carry out the casting of three skid pipes. The long core metal 7 is partially enclosed with the paper frame 6 with its water-repellent surface inside throughout its length to such an extent as to cover at least one-half the total periphery of the long core metal 7 and the rest of its periphery is enclosed with a wood frame 8 with an open top.

摘要： PURPOSE:To form lining having excellent fireproof property, impact-resistance and abrasion-resistance to feed materials at low cost by a method wherein the interior of a converter is lined with uncalcined dolomite-magnesia brick, the brick being calcined and tar pitch is permeated into the brick. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a converter 1 is lined with uncalcined dolomite- magnesia brick 2. A gas supply tube 5 and an oxygen pipe 6 are inserted from a furnace port 13 into the converter. The gas is burned within the converter to calcine the brick 2. A tar pitch supply tube 7, which is rotatable and movable up and down, is inserted into the converter, and sprayed on the whole surface of the calcined brick 2. In order to prevent the combustion of the tar pitch, the tar pitch is sprayed at a temperature of from 200-300 deg.C. A lid 10 is put on the furnace port 13. Inert gas such as nitrogen is introduced through a steel-discharge port 11 under pressure into the converter. By this gas pressure, the tar pitch is permeated through the pores of the calcined brick 2 and baked. Lining having fireproof property equal to expensive dolomite-magnesia brick impregnated with tar pitch can be formed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily repair a converter lining by kneading refractory powder with molten tar; granulating the kneaded material; mixing the granules into a spraying material; and spraying the mixt. upon the damaged parts of the lining material. CONSTITUTION:Molten tar is uniformly mixed with 40-60 wt% of fine grains of above 75% MgO-contg. magnesia type refractories with a diameter below 1 mm. The mixt. is kneaded well and granulated to a diameter of 1-5 mm. Refractories such as dolomite clinker and Cr ore may be used in combination with the above refractories. 20-40 wt% of the granules is mixed with 20-40 wt% of refractories, crushed to a diameter of 0.5-3.0 mm, which are of the same quality as the refractories such as magnesia, dolomite clinker and Cr ore in the granules, 30-50 wt% of below 0.3 mm fine powder of the refractories and 0.5 wt% of a binder such as sodium silicate to the total wt. This mixt. is sprayed upon the damaged hot parts of a converter lining material to repair the parts.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the effect of repair, by excluding water from sprayed refracotory material in hot spray repair of refractory lining material for a converter. CONSTITUTION:Powdered refractory material for spray made by mixing magnesia clinker etc. with nonaqueous bonding material is sprayed to form a converter lining by means of a dry nozzle 1. At that time, cooling water 5 is introduced through a cooling water intake 3 and is sprayed through small holes 7 made at the top end of the nozzle 1 in order to prevent the oxidation of the hot-spraying material, excessive cooling water being discharged through an exhaust opening 4. In is most pref. that the oxidation is prevented completely by cooling with water, and the water is vaporized just before the cooling water arrives at the surface of the refractory lining. Therefore, it is effective to use 5-7 wt.% cooling water on the basis of hot spray material at furnace temp. of 1,200 deg.C, and at a spray speed 50 kg/min. Use of inert gas, e.g., N2, Ar as the oxidation-preventing medium is also effective.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the microcracks resulting from thermal expansion and infiltration of zinc by forming the convection passage of molten zinc flowing in an induction field with aluminum titanate. CONSTITUTION:A coil 2 is provided close to a convection passage 4 through an iron core 3. The passage 4 is provided with a water-cooled jacket 5 and fixed to a molten zinc vessel by a flange 6. A current flows in the zinc in the passage 4 to generate Joule heat, the zinc is heated, whereas the passage itself as a sintered article is not heated since it does not transmit heat. The passage 4 of molten zinc flowing in an induction field is made with a U-tube in this way, hence the passage is not eroded by zinc or broken and has strength, and backup mortar is not needed. Further, when the heater is exchanged, a fresh one is connected to the vessel, and molten zinc can be immediately filled because the heater is resistant to rapid heating and cooling.

In this case, the upper plate B is formed of a refractory insulator, thereby eliminating removal of the upper plate after the structure F is formed. Further, when the plate is removed, the refractory material is not damaged, and processing of the insulator after the plate is removed, is also eliminated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently lay bricks to the bottom of a converter by lowering a carrier for bricks onto a swiveling frame disposed in the central part of the bottom in the converter and holding and transporting the bricks by means of brick attracting jigs hung and suspended to swiveling cranes. CONSTITUTION:The carrier 7 imposed with the bricks 117 for the converter bottom is lowered in a lifting tower 8 by a driving device 6 for lifting the carrier. This carrier 7 is imposed to the central part of the swiveling frame 3 disposed on the central brick block 2 in the bottom in the converter 1. The swiveling frame 3 can be swiveled by a swiveling and supporting device 4 in the central part and both ends thereof are supported by expansion supporting legs 5. The bricks 117 are then taken together with a pallet 118 out of the top of a delivery conveyor 10 onto a receiving conveyor 11 on the swiveling frame 3 through the outlet 9 of the carrier 7. The bricks 117 are thereafter transferred onto a pallet receiving base 51 by the swiveling cranes 12 provided to the lifting tower 8. The bricks 117 are carried by each sheet from said base to the prescribed position by means of the brick attracting jigs 13 having the suction cups hung and supported by the swiveling cranes 12 and are thereby laid.
