摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a water cut-off means from coming into contact with the cut surface of an existing segment in the rotating condition to be damaged and make a designated limited installation range suffice in the case of advancing a ring to cut and intrude into an existing segment to be joined to the segment, thereby joining a new tunnel and an existin tunnel to each other and installing a water cut-off means comprising a water cut-off bag or the like in the outer periphery of the ring. SOLUTION: A ring joined to an existing segment comprises a cutting ring 4 which is positioned inside a skin plate 2 and turned to cut and intrude into a segment 13 of an existing tunnel and a water cut-off ring 3 which is positioned outside the cut ring 4, not rotated and provided with a water cut-off container 10 as a water cut-off means on the outer periphery thereof, which is adapted to cut off water in a gap between the intruded cut ring 4 and the cut-opened existing segment 13. While being rotated, the cut ring 4 is advanced to cut and intrude into the segment 13 of the existing tunnel and joined thereto, the water cut-off ring 3 is advanced in synchronization with the cut ring 4 without rotation to make the water cut-off container 10 closely adhere to the cut opening surface of the segment 13.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and firmly join existing and new tunnels together. SOLUTION: A cutting and reinforcing ring 6 is provided inside the skin plate 2 of a shield machine 1 in such a way as to be free to move back and forth in the excavating direction, and a ring driving jack 10 for pushing out the cutting and reinforcing ring 6 is provided on the ring 6. As a new tunnel T2 is excavated using the shield machine 1, the cutting and reinforcing ring 6 is pushed out by the ring driving jack 10 at a position a predetermined distance away from an existing tunnel T1, after which the cutting and reinforcing ring 6 is pushed out while being rotated by transmitting the driving force of a cutter 11. The segments of the existing tunnel T1 are cut using a cutting bit 7 to form openings so as to join the existing T1 and new T2 tunnels together.

SOLUTION: A shield excavator 2 for constructing a new tunnel is approached to a joining place, and a pipe for pipe roofing is excavatedly inserted from the shield excavator 2 so as to reach the inside of an existing tunnel 8a. These pipes are arranged at given intervals in the outer circumferential part of the hollow section inside the new tunnel so as to form a pipe roof.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety and to reduce construction period by laying two almost triangular special segments one on the other with their base sides facing their outer peripheries, and cutting and removing the principal part of the base through the cutting of unreinforced concrete using a shield machine. SOLUTION: Unreinforced concrete 4b is placed on the surface of one side of a base 4a of steel or reinforced concrete to construct a special segment 4 almost in the form or a triangle. Two special segments 4 are used as a pair and, when a first shield tunnel 1 is being constructed, the base 4a is placed upright and connected to upper and lower portions. In that case, time circular surface of the unreinforced concrete 4b of one segment is incorporated flush with the outer peripheral surface of the other segment 4. Next, as a second shield tunnel 2 is constructed, excavation is performed, and the excavating blade of a shield machine 3 is stopped immediately before making contact with the base 4a. Only a predetermined area of the base 4a is cut and removed from the inside of the first shield tunnel 1 to open a joint, then secondary lining is performed on the joint, and the tunnels 1, 2 are joined together at their crossing parts.
