    • Embodiments of the disclosure generally relate to beam switching in a wireless communication network. A device in the wireless communication network determines a beam switch mode based on a first measurement on quality of a current beam serving a mobile terminal. The beam switch mode is associated with at least one candidate beam. Then, the device sends an indication of the beam switch mode to the mobile terminal to trigger the mobile terminal to perform a second measurement on a mobile reference signal associated with the at least one candidate beam. In response to receiving the second measurement from the mobile terminal, the device determines a target beam from the at least one candidate beam and the current beam based on the second measurement. In this way, the target beam may be determined in an efficient way.

    • The present disclosure relates to methods and arrangements for performing wireless device assisted handover form a source access node to a target access node. Performed in a wireless device, the method comprises performing (S31) one or more mobility measurements for corresponding candidate radio links and transmitting (S33) a first radio link measurement report, comprising the mobility measurements for a recommended target link, using a first radio link reporting mechanism to the source access node. When communication over a target link is not initiated under a predetermined condition, the method comprises transmitting a second radio link measurement report, for the one or more candidate radio links, on the recommended target link using a second radio link reporting mechanism different from the first radio link reporting mechanism.

    • The present disclosure relates to a method used in a cluster manager controlling a cluster for a terminal device served by a radio node, and to the associated cluster manager. The cluster manager is under control of a control node and the cluster includes the radio node. The method includes: receiving Layer 1 (L1) /Layer 2 (L2) measurements of the terminal device on the radio node and one or more neighboring radio nodes of the radio node; determining a target radio node, to which the terminal device is to be handed over, based on the L1/L2 measurements; determining whether the target radio node is within the cluster; and if it is determined that the target radio node is within the cluster, determining whether the terminal device is to perform handover from a beam of the radio node to a beam of the target radio node. The present disclosure also relates to a method used in a radio node and the associated radio node, and to a method used in a control node and the associated control node.
