摘要： A modulator includes a symbol mapper that is configured to map respective bits sets of a bit sequence corresponding to a burst and including data, training, tail, and guard bits into respective symbols to form a symbol sequence of data, training, tail, and guard symbols. A vector precoder is configured to apply a vector precoding transformation to the data and training symbols to form precoded symbols. These precoded symbols are combined with the tail and guard symbols in a symbol processor to form a sequence of transmit symbols. The record precoding conducted by the modulator of a transmitter enables improved link performance without the cost of increased processing complexity of the receiver algorithm.

摘要： Methods and stations (200, 204) for enabling power saving in a receiving station (204) when a transmitting station (200) transmits a radio signal to a targeted station (202). The transmitting station (200) sets at least one power limitation bit that indicates an estimated power limitation status of the targeted station (202), and transmits the radio signal with a preamble including the power limitation bit. When receiving said preamble, the receiving station (204) is able to determine whether to receive and decode the remaining complete radio signal or not, based on the power limitation bit. For example, if the receiving station (204) itself is power limited, it can save power by not receiving and decoding the complete radio signal when the power limitation bit in the preamble indicates that the targeted station (202) is non-power limited.

The transmitting station determines (503) a likelihood of presence of the narrowband interference. The access point (2) is adapted to communicate with the sensor station (4) and vice versa, over a communication channel using a contention based channel access. The access point (2) monitors (110) the traffic of the communication channel and estimates a congestion level of the communication channel. Information indicating the congestion level is incorporated (125) into a synchronization frame (200; 300) which is transmitted (140) to the sensor station (4). The sensor station (4) uses the congestion information when it selects which modulation and coding scheme it should use when sending data to the access point.

摘要： A radio network node comprised, and a wireless device configured to be operative, in a wireless communication system. The radio network node obtains downlink data and converts it to a baseband signal. The conversion comprises Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) modulation of the downlink data. The modulation applies a negative modulation index selected based on a type of wireless device that is a target for the downlink data. A radio signal is provided based on the baseband signal and sent to, and received by, the wireless device that provides user data based on the radio signal.
