    • The present invention provides a muting configuration for reference signal (RS) transmission as a pattern defined by at least the combination of a muting sequence and a reference point. Muting occasions for a given wireless communication network cell (20) thus are differentiated from another cell by use of a different muting sequence, a different reference point, or both. Moreover, in one or more embodiments, the present invention provides for the use of a common muting sequence or reference point across cells (20), with muting occasions being differentiated between cells (20) through use of different reference points (in the case of a common muting sequence), or through use of different muting sequences (in the case of a common reference point), or different sequences and different reference points. Such arrangements simplify the signaling needed to control or indicate the muting configuration in use in the cells of interest, provide an advantageous basis for propagating muting configurations among cells (20), eliminate the need for predefined muting configurations, and the need for blind detection of muting by wireless communication apparatuses (14), such as UEs.

    • Methods, a first, and a second network node as well as a user equipment for exchange of measurement period related parameters are provided. The user equipment (140) performs a method for measuring at least one measurement quantity on a second cell on a second carrier operated by a second radio network node (120). The user equipment (140) receives (203), from the second radio network node (120), an indication indicative of the second carrier and a first parameter to be used by the user equipment for measuring said at least one measurement quantity. The first parameter relates to at least a first measurement period. The user equipment (140) determines (205) the first measurement period based on the first parameter. Moreover, the user equipment (140) measures (207) said at least one measurement quantity on at least the second cell on the second carrier over the first measurement period. The second network node (120) performs a method for providing the first parameter to be used by the user equipment (140).The second network node (120) sends (203), to the user equipment (140), the first parameter and the indication indicative of the second carrier. The first parameter is determined based on a specific length of the first measurement period.

    • A method of operating a node of a communications network comprises the node requesting 2380-1596 a user equipment unit to prepare a measurement report concerning a measurement object. The measurement report includes (a) a measurement result for the measurement object as measured from a current serving cell and a measurement result for the measurement object as measured from a neighbor cell; and (b) additional measurement reporting including measurements that are available at the user equipment unit from multiple serving carriers. The method further comprises the node configuring the user equipment unit to ensure that the user equipment unit includes a reference signal received power (RSRP) value for the measurement result for the measurement object as measured from the neighbor cell.

    • Embodiments herein relate to a method in a user equipment (10) for enabling positioning of the user equipment (10) in a radio communications network. The user equipment (10) is served in a first cell controlled by a radio network node (12), which user equipment (10) knows or can obtain a system frame number of at least one cell, and a positioning node (15) and the radio network node (12) are comprised in the radio communications network.
