Then, it sets these offset values and gain values every prescribed temp. range or every time the temp. change reaches a prescribed temp. to preliminarily store them in the memory 15 and it reads out an offset value and an gain value corresponding to a detected temp. at the time of changing an offset and an gain to change them. Then, when an ambient temp. is changed, the circuit 8 is changed to controlled variables related to its ambient temps. and the light beam is subjected to a tracking control and, then, the proper tracking control of the light beam is performed without being affected by the change in ambient temps.

    • PURPOSE:To properly draw in focus a condenser lens at all times even when noises are superposed to signals by reversing the moving direction of the condenser lens or accelerating the condenser lens in accordance with the photodetecting level, thereby effecting focus servo control of the condenser lens. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 11 detects a peak value A of a sum signal SS of a photodetector 4 from a detecting signal SD from a light amount detector 6. Then, the CPU 11 checks the signal SD and, applies a digital signal to a D/A converter 10 so as to reverse the direction of a triangular current to be fed to a lens driving part 8 and gradually reduce the triangular current when the signal SS is decreased to 1/2 the value A. Accordingly, the moving direction of the condenser lens 3 is reversed to the direction of an optical disk 1 and the moving speed is reduced. When the signal SS becomes not smaller than 1/2 the value A and the difference signal SD reaches a value B, focus servo control is carried out. Thereafter, the lens 3 is moved to hold a predetermined distance from the disk 1 at all times in accordance with the output of a lens controlling part 7 to which a deviation signal is supplied, thereby to continue true control.
