    • PURPOSE:To realize an optical card having high contrast and a high S/N by forming a void having >=0.01mm size between an optical recording layer and a protective layer with a spacer interposed between a substrate and a protective film. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer 3 consisting of a single pigment or a pigment composition is formed on a substrate 2 consisting of an acrylic resin, etc., a spacer 6 of polyester, etc. having 0.01-0.5mm thickness is placed on the recording layer 3, and a protective layer 4 is laminated thereon. Besides, a void 5 having >=0.01mm length is formed between the recording layer 3 and the protective layer 4. When the void 5 having >=0.01mm length is thus formed between the optical recording layer part and the protective layer, the contrast can be increased by 2 times as compared with the conventional one, and an optical card having a high S/N can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the dispersibility of magnetic shield properties into a bonding agent by specifying not only the average thickness, the average aspect ratio, and the particle diameters of particles but also the kind of a bonding agent in the cases of flat, amorphous alloy soft magnetic particles which have a large shield effect on a magnetic field in the specific direction as well as magnetic shield materials consisting of the bonding agent. CONSTITUTION:Amorphous alloy soft magnetic particles having an average thickness 0.01-1mum is used as a magnetic powder and a bonding agent which cures radiation setting type compounds comprising an ethylenic double bond by radiation is used as a binder. Further, an aspect ratio of particles is more than 10 and respective diameters of the particles are distributed as follows: the particles having the diameters 10-50mum are in the amount of 35wt.% or more; those having diameters exceeding 88mum are 0.5wt.% or less; and those having diameters less than 3mum are 16wt.% or less. Moreover, an average ratio of long axes to short axes of the particles becomes 1.2 or more. This material is superior in magnetic shielding properties and the particles are hardened without taking a long time and the resultant magnetic shield material exhibits high resistance to weather and endurance.
