    • PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain fixability right after operation by specifying the max. diameter and length of a plug for fixing the ligament consisting of a material having the vital affinity to be inserted into a hole in order to press the artificial ligament into the inner peripheral edge of the hole to specific values and forming the plug of a cylindrical body having a blind hole or through hole of a specific diameter in the central part. CONSTITUTION: This plug 11 for fixing the ligament has a fixed diameter part 12 and a tapered part 13 having a converging front end and is formed with plural annular grooves 14 around the fixed diameter part 12. The through hole 15 is formed in the central part of the plug 11 for fixing the ligament. The diameter ϕ and length L of the plug 11 for fixing the ligament are so set that the artificial ligament is fixed at a large-diameter tunnel hole. The diameter ϕin the reconstruction of the artificial ligament is set at 5 to 15mm and the length L at >=10mm. The diameter ϕ of the through hole 15 or the blind hole is set at 2 to 4mm. The plug for fixing the ligament is capable of stably fixing the artificial ligament along the osteotunnel right after the operation and, therefore, the rehabilitation in an early period is possible.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the resecting of a bone when a knee joint is replaced with an artificial joint by a method wherein the other end of an alignment bar, one end of which is inserted in a drilled hole provided in the bone axial direction of the neck of femur, is supported to a guide main body by a supporting member, and the supporting member is provided movably on a plane which crosses the alignment bar. SOLUTION: At the time of resecting of the front and rear surfaces of the neck of femur, a femur drilled hole 111 is provided by using a drill at the center in the bone axial direction of the neck of femur, and one end of an alignment bar 16 of this resect-assisting utensil 10 is inserted in the drilled hole 111, and to the other end of the alignment bar 16 after the insertion, a guide main body 12 is attached on a supporting member 17. Then, a depth gauge 20 is inserted in a supporting through hole 15b of a rectangular protuberance 15a, and a localization in the length direction is performed. Then, a localization in the width direction is performed in such a manner that the tip end of the depth gauge 20 may come into linear (planar) contact with the bone surface of the distal end of the femur. Then, the removing of the neck 116 of femur is performed based on specified location and angle. The resecting is performed by inserting a saw body in a front surface guide 14a and a rear surface guide 14b.
