    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head gasket capable of rigidly connecting a cylinder head with a cylinder block via a protrusion-recess engagement section 21, preventing deformation of the cylinder block due to the explosion pressure in the engine and achieving reduction in sealing capability. SOLUTION: The cylinder head gasket 1 is held in between the cylinder head 2 and the cylinder block 3 having a cylinder bore 4, and is formed by laminating a thickness adjustment plate 10 in which a combustion room hole 14 is bored in the position corresponding to the position of the cylinder bore 4, seal plates 11 to 13 and a shim plate 17. The protrusion-recess engagement sections 21 projecting to both sides of the cylinder head gasket around the combustion room holes are formed over each of the laminated layers including the seal plates, the thickness adjustment plate and the shim plate.     • PURPOSE:To improve operability at the time of inspecting an oil level even when the level gauge is inserted in a direction ether than that regulated by means of an insertion regulating means, by automatically rotating the level gauge together with the insertion and introducing it to the insertion regulating means to a specified direction. CONSTITUTION:A gauge guide 2 has an inserting hole 2a with a diameter larger than the width of a level gauge 1. An insertion regulating part 6 projecting inward is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the gauge guide 2 so as to allow only the oil level gauge 1 with a specified direction to be inserted. A guide part 7 is extendingly provided on the insertion regulating part 6 at its side of a gauge inserting hole 4, which guide part 7 has an arcuate section, and width and projection height (h) decreasing gradually from the side of the insertion regulating part 6 to the gauge inserting hole 4.
