Nozzle pipes are provided to the plate 6 and the frame 8 to eject the soln. 2 to the strip 3'.     • PURPOSE:To omit manual operation and to make it possible to measure the accurate viscosity of liquid, by automating the measurement of the time required for the flow out of the liquid from a viscosity measuring cup having a hole at its bottom. CONSTITUTION:A Ford cup 1 has a hole 1a at its bottom. An air cylinder 4 lifts or lowers the cup 1, which is immersed in a paint 3 as a liquid to be measured in a pan 2, to and from a specified position over the liquid surface of the paint 3. A position detector 5 detects the time when the cup 1 is lifted from the liquid surface of the paint 3. Photosensor 6 and 7 detect the time when all the paint 3 flows out of the hole 1a. A timer 8 starts operation by a detected signal 5a and stops the operation by a detected signal 7a. The cup 1 is periodically moved up and down, and the viscosity of the paint 3 is automatically measured.

    • PURPOSE: To shorten the time requirement of a descaling process, by applying a descaling process to a hot rolled steel sheet after machining it with a specified condition.
      CONSTITUTION: A hot rolled steel sheet 4 is fed to a rolling mill 1 and is rolled with 3W10% draft, then 2W4% surface strain and 0.5W3% average plastic elongation are then given to the sheet 4 by a stretch-bending machine 2 through a stretch- bending process. Thus processed steel sheet 4 is passed through a descaling apparatus 3 provided with a mechanical descaling apparatus 6 mounted with a brushing roll, etc., or a pickling tank 7; hereby, the steel sheet 4 is descaled. By said method, the time requirement of the descaling process is shortened.

    • PURPOSE: To perform descaling on the surface of steel sheet in a short time, by previously generating cracks in the scale layer on the surface of steel sheet before hot rolled steel sheet is brought into the descaler.
      CONSTITUTION: When a hot rolled steel sheet 5 is descaled, the sheet 5 is passed through a rolling mill composed of small diameter rolls 2 and large diameter roils 3 to be subjected to a rolling work under such a condition where the steel sheet 5 is wound and bent altenately to the small diameter roll side 2, and thus, cracks are generated in the scale layer on the surface of the strip 5. The sheet 5 is then passed through a descaler 4 composed of a mechanical descaling equipment 7, such as brush roll, etc. and a chemical descaling equipment 8 which performs descaling work by using an aq. solution of hudrocholoric acid, etc., to remove scales on the surface of the strip 5 in a short time.

      SOLUTION: The ion plating apparatus is provided with a pressure gradient type plasma gun, and an anode member. The anode member has a hearth serving as the main anode for introducing a plasma beam downward. A pair of electromagnets 26a and 26b for generating magnetic fields are provided, and magnetic fields having magnetic lines of force parallel to a substrate W are generated around the substrate W. A pair of electrodes 28a and 28b are provided having the substrate W interposed between them, and an equal potential electric field having the potential of the electrodes is generated in the space along the magnetic lines of force of the magnetic fields. When a vapor deposition material is ionized by the plasma beam, collides against the substrate W and is deposited thereon, the kinetic energy on the collision of the ions of the vapor deposition material against the substrate is remarkably relaxed since the electric fields of the potential to be a reverse bias to the hearth are generated in the vicinity of the surface of the substrate W.

    • PURPOSE: To measure the shape of a hole, which is formed by the removal of cavity by gouging automatically without relying on human eyes, by arranging a case, which holds rod shaped bodies provided with contact needles at the lower end thereof and detecting units, which detect the positions in association with the rod shaped bodies, in a plurality numbers in two dimensions.
      CONSTITUTION: A numeral 1 is a coil of a differential transformer as a displacement gage. A spring 3 is located in a case 6 and connected between a flange 2a of an iron core 2 and an upper inner surface of 6a of the case 6. The flange 2a is always energized in the direction the flange is contacted with a lower inner surface of 6b of the case 6. The tip of the iron core 2 is protruded out of the case 6 and forms a contact needle 2b. The tip detects the shape of the cavity by contacting with the surface of the cavity 4, which is gouged out. Detecting units A are arranged in the case 6 in a grid shape, which is broader than the area of the gouged cavity 4. The length of the contact needle is longer than the depth of the hole. The contact needles are arranged in the two dimensions. Therefore, any cavity can be detected.
