    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grounding tool which can surely perform the grounding work of an aerial transmission line, and can surely hold a conductive member to be held. SOLUTION: This grounding tool is equipped with an insulating rod 11, a holding mechanism, an opening restraining mechanism, and a locking mechanism, and releases current to the ground, holding a conductive member. The holding mechanism has a pair of holding pieces (a fixed holding piece 12 and a movable holding piece 13) which hold the conductive member, and the opening restraining mechanism (a projection 149, a cam groove 129, and a pressure-receiving section 131) restrains the movable holding piece 13 from rotating, in a direction where the holding mechanism opens (clockwise in Figure). Moreover, the locking mechanism (locking mechanism body 15, a slit-shaped hole 122, and a rotation preventing slit 142) restricts the operation of the opening restraining mechanism, as long as the conductive member is held at an appropriate position of the holding mechanism. SOLUTION: In the hot-line tool for the overhead transmission line maintenance, clamping arm members include a fixing-side arm member fixed to the tip of an insulation operation rod, and a movable-side arm member mounted on the fixing-side arm member through a shaft support part so as to be openable and closable. The movable-side arm member is biased at all times, in the closing direction by springs, an external driving part is provided which brings the movable-side arm member into an open state by pulling an open-side insulation rope, while being against a biasing force from the springs; and a fixing-side insulation rope for inhibiting the open state of the movable-side arm member is provided at the drive part.
