    • The present invention is directed to compositions having an effective amount of Adenosine Triphosphate (“ATP”) sufficient to effect intracellular and extracellular concentrations of ATP in a mammal to improve anaerobic exercise capacity by increasing muscle size and/or strength and methods for using the same. Preferably, a gastric acid secretion inhibitory coating is applied to the effective amount of ATP in a manner that protects the ATP from degradation by gastric juices. ATP compositions of the present invention may be administered in nutraceutical or functional food dosage forms, including oral and non-oral delivery forms. In addition, the effective amount of ATP maybe combined with amino acids, botanicals, functional foods, herbals, nucleotides, nutraceuticals, nutrients, pharmaceuticals, proteins, and/or vitamins in an effort to enhance the targeted activity of the composition.

The open fluid limit valves (550, 551) allow fluid to bypass pistons (102) and/or allow fluid from an external source to compensate the fluid leakage. The fluid bypassing pistons (102) at their extension or retraction limit and/or externally supplied fluid forces the uncorrelated pistons (102) to reach their extension or retraction limit as well. The fluid actuator with optional adjustable mechanical limits have one or more additional pistons (686, 688), which have an adjustable separation from the main piston (102) or end of cylinder. The fluid actuator with fluid limit valves (550, 551) and optional adjustable mechanical limits enables mechanical linkages to be replaced by fluid circuits composed of the fluid actuators.

    • In a telecommunications system (100), a method and apparatus for buffering the initial speech of an initial speaker in a push-to-talk call is disclosed. The method includes the steps of determining at least one participant or group to call (410, 510), sending a call request to the at least one participant or group (520), determining if the at least one participant or group is registered with the telecommunications system, notifying the initial speaker to begin speaking after determining at least one participant is registered with the telecommunications system but prior to connecting all called parties, receiving and digitizing voice packets from the initial speaker, storing the digitized data packets in a storage medium and transmitting the digitized voice packets when a predetermined packet transmission triggering event occurs. The apparatus for buffering the initial speech burst of an initial speaker in a call includes a first server (140) and a second server (150) communicatively connected to the first server. The second server is programmed to execute the steps of the method described above.
