    • A multi-terminal filtered electrical connector assembly includes a housing having a plurality of terminal-receiving passageways. A plurality of terminals are received in the passageways, with tail portions of the terminals projecting from the housing. A terminal alignment plate, independent of the housing, includes a plurality of through holes for receiving and aligning the tail portions of the terminals. First complementary interengaging latch devices are provided between the housing and the alignment plate for readily assembling the alignment plate on the housing. A ferrite block is mountable on the alignment plate and includes a plurality of through holes alignable with the holes in the alignment plate for receiving therethrough the tail portions of the terminals. Second complementary interengaging latch devices are provided between the alignment plate and the ferrite block for readily assembling the ferrite block on the alignment plate. Therefore, the alignment plate and the ferrite block can be assembled as a subassembly about the tail portions of the terminals, and the subassembly can be readily assembled to the housing. A flexible capacitor filter circuit is mounted on a rear face of the housing and through which filters the terminals extend.

    • An electrical connector assembly is disclosed, particularly adapted for connecting an electronic control system to an adjustable automotive suspension component. The assembly includes a dielectric housing having terminals for connection to appropriate mating terminals on the suspension component. A separate dielectric latch is ultrasonically welded to the dielectric housing for latching the connector assembly to a complementary latch on the suspension component. The housing has a base and a receptacle projecting from the base. The separate latch has a shroud ultrasonically welded about the receptacle of the housing. The terminals are insert molded in the housing. The terminals are generally L-shaped with one leg of each terminal completely insert molded in the base, including its termination with an appropriate electrical wire, and the other leg of each L-shaped terminal defines its contact portion extending into the receptacle of the housing.

    • An electrical connector is provided for commonly connecting a plurality of conductors, such as insulated conductor wires. An insulating housing has a wire-receiving face, a base and generally parallel side walls extending between the base and the face, defining an elongated cavity therewithin. A strip of terminal devices is assembled in the elongated cavity. Each terminal device includes at least one insulation-displacement wire-terminating slot for reception of an insulated conductor wire. Wire-admitting slots are provided in each housing side wall aligned with the wire-terminating slots in the terminal devices. Each wire-admitting slot includes a first, wire-restraining section for temporarily holding an insulated conductor wire prior to insertion into the respective wire-terminating slot, and a second, wire-securing section for finally holding the insulated conductor wire when inserted into the wire-terminating slot. The terminal devices are joined in the strip by web portions structured to be readily broken to facilitate severing the strip of terminal devices at any location between any two adjacent devices. The housing includes access apertures through which the web portions can be broken from outside the housing.

    • An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing having passageways extending therethrough. Electrical terminals are positioned in the passageways. Resilient latch arms are provided by the housing and include projections for engaging the terminals in the passageways. The housing has receptacles adjacent the resilient latch arms. A seal is located in a recess about the outside of the housing. A terminal locking and seal retaining member includes lock arms insertable into the receptacles in the housing for limiting movement of the resilient latch arms and thereby maintaining the projections in latching engagement with the terminals. The member also includes a peripheral flange for engaging the seal and maintaining the seal in the recess about the housing.
