    • A vehicle has a cockpit area and lateral passages for the ingress and egress of a rider to and from the cockpit area. At least one lateral flexible cover selectively extends at least partially across at least one of the lateral passages. The cover has at least one upper attachment point connected to the roll cage, at least one lower attachment point connected to one of the frame and the roll cage, and a forward attachment point selectively connected to one of the frame and the roll cage. When the forward attachment point is connected to the one of the frame and the roll cage, the at least one lateral flexible cover extends forwardly and downwardly from the at least one upper attachment point to the forward attachment point, and forwardly and upwardly from the at least one lower attachment point to the forward attachment point.

    • An orbital lathe for resurfacing a fifth wheel kingpin having a support column insertable between the kingpin and an underlying surface generally axially aligned with the kingpin. A cutting tool is mounted for rotation about a pin axis and has a first positioner for moving the cutting tool radially relative to the pin axis and a second positioner for rotating the cutting tool about an axis generally orthoginal to the pin axis. A driver is provided for rotating the cutting tool about the pin axis to cause the cutting tool to remove material from the kingpin. A transport mechanism acts between the support column and the first and second positioner to move the first and second positioners and in turn the cutting tool along the pin axis.

    • A straddle seat has a top portion having a rear portion and a front portion. Two side portions extend downwardly from the top portion. Front sections extend upwardly and forwardly from the middle sections forming a first angle. Rear sections extend upwardly and rearwardly from the middle sections forming a second angle. The first angle is greater than the second angle.

    • A gauge (100) for measuring wear of a trailer kingpin (10) provides, for each of the base (20) and shank (30) parts of a kingpin, two contiguous slots (118 and 120, and 114 and 116, respectively), one slot (118, 114) sized to indicate sufficient wear to warrant scheduling replacement or rebuilding, and the other, more lateral slot (120, 116), sized to indicate failure due to excessive wear. In described embodiments, the two pairs of contiguous slots (118 and 120, 114 and 116) are joined in the middle of the gauge (100) by an entrance area (112). A respective kingpin base (20) or shank (30) that does not pass, at its widest point, from the entrance area (112) into the respective slot (118, 114) has not worn to the point of warranting replacement or rebuilding. Embodiments of the kingpin gauge (100) may also have spaced apart open slots (141, 142) for measuring the length and trueness of a kingpin along its vertical axis (50).
