    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary dobby having increased action speed while maintaining the reliability. SOLUTION: The dobby has a lifting unit furnished with an action member 4 loosely fitting to a main shaft 1 of the dobby, a driving member 8 rotating together with the main shaft 1, the first and second engaging members 10, 11 alternately engaging with the driving member 8 and the action member 4, the first resiliency applying means 19 for applying an elastic force to the first and second engaging means 10, 11, and controlling means 14, 15 to shift the first and second engaging means 10, 11 against the force applied by the first resiliency applying means 19. The force applied by the first resiliency applying means 19 is directly loaded on the first engaging member 10 and indirectly loaded on the second engaging member 11. The controlling means is matched with the shift of the first engaging member against the applied force, and the second engaging member 11 is engaged and held on the second engaging face 84D through the second end face.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complementary type cam which is formed to cooperate with the rollers of a tracking lever in the weaving mechanism of a loom and controls two composite tracks (21, 22).
      SOLUTION: This cam has a hub (23) having a fundamental portion (23B) forming a central hole (23A) for attaching a driving shaft (30), and a flange (23D) outward projected in the radial direction from the outside circumferential face (23C) of the fundamental portion (23B), and two side plates (24, 25) which control rotary trucks (21, 22) for rollers, respectively, have central opened portions (24A, 25B), respectively, and are attached to the sides of the flange (23D) on the peripheral side (23C) of the fundamental portion (23B) without projecting from the side faces (23B1, 23B2) of the fundamental portion (23B) of the hub (23).
