    • A dry image-forming process is disclosed. The dry image-forming process of the invention comprises heat developing a light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least a photosensitive silver halide, a binder, and a dye releasing redox compound said dye releasing redox compound being reductive to the photosensitive silver halide and being capable of releasing a hydrophilic dye upon reaction with the photosensitive silver halide under heating, after or simultaneously with imagewise exposure, to form imagewise a mobile hydrophilic dye and heating, after simultaneously with the heat development, the light-sensitive material together with a dye-fixing layer in the presence of a hydrophilic thermal solvent to thereby transfer the mobile hydrophilic dye onto the dye-fixing layer to form a dye image and fix the dye image. The heat development is carried out in a state containing substantially no water, and the whole of steps are carried out without particular supplying a solvent.

    • In heat developable photographic system of dry procedure, color images are formed by imagewise exposing and then heating a light-sensitive material comprising a support having provided thereon a light-sensitive layer containing silver halide, a binder, and a compound capable of producing or releasing, upon reduction of light-sensitive silver halide to silver at elevated temperatures, a mobile dye, as a direct or inverse function of the reduction reaction, allowing the produced or released mobile dye to migrate into a dye-fixing material having incorporated therein a hydrophilic thermal solvent and fixing the dye thereto, then separating the light-sensitive material from the dye-fixing material, with a fluorine-containing surfactant being incorporated in at least one of the uppermost layers on the contacting sides of the light-sensitive material and of the dye-fixing material. Adhesion and poor S/N ratio problems accompanied by the use of hydrophilic thermal solvents are improved by incorporating fluorine-containing surfactants into the aforesaid layers.

    • An image forming method which comprises (A) exposing to an imagewise pattern of light a light-sensitive material having on a support at least (1) a light-sensitive silver halide, (2) a binder, and (3) a compound which is chemically involved in the reduction of the light-sensitive silver halide to silver under high temperature thereby causing the production or the release of a mobile dye, (B) heating the light-sensitive material in a substantially water-free condition to form the mobile dye with an imagewise distribution subsequently to or simultaneously with the exposure, and (C) transferring the mobile dye into a dye-fixing layer under high temperature and fixing it thereto wherein an acidic component participates chemically in the reaction system for forming the mobile dye after the conclusion of the mobile dye-forming reaction to bring about the desirable effect on lowering the fog density thereof.
