    • This specification discloses an apparatus for photographing originals successively on a long footage of film. Originals of various sizes such as checks, stock-certificates, vouchers, etc. are photographed on the film. When originals of various sizes are photographed on unphotographed film, how may originals can be photographed on the unphotographed film is displayed. The number of originals photographable on the unphotographed film can be known for each size of original and can also be known as the number of originals having an average size which have hitherto been photographed or as the number of originals having a minimum or a maximum size. Also, in a photographing apparatus wherein photographed film is temporally stored in a storage portion and then fed to a developing portion, how many originals can be photographed on the film that is to be stored in the storage portion is displayed.

    • A sheet receiving device has conveying means for conveying a sheet, restraining means disposed downstream of the conveying means with respect to the direction of conveyance by a distance shorter than the length of th esheet in th edirection of conveyance for restraining the leading end edge of the sheet being conveyed, first guide means for guiding the sheet to the restraining means, second guide means cooperating with the first guide means to hold the sheet therebetween, and support means for movably supporting at least one of the first guide means and the second guide means so that the distance between the first guide means and the second guide means can increase with the sheet held therebetween, in conformity with an increase in the sheet held between the first guide means and the second guide means.

    • A facsimile apparatus is constructed with a minimum number of parts in a size as compact as possible, capable of reading, recording, and receiving data automatically. The facsimile apparatus which has an original sheet conveying path for conveying an original and a recording sheet conveying path for conveying a recording sheet, comprising: a common sheet conveying path for conveying either the original or the recording sheet, and which is provided downstream of the original sheet conveying path and the recording sheet conveying path; feeder selection means, provided upstream of the common conveying path, for picking-up either the original or the recording sheet by selection; reading means, provided on the common conveying path, for reading the original led to the common conveying path by the feeder selection means; recording means, provided on the common conveying path, for recording on the recording sheet conveyed led to the common conveying path by the feeder selection means; and ejecting means for ejecting the original and the recording sheet.
