    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a fabric by using ammonia, improving the recovery rate of the ammonia, improving the thermal efficiency of its system as a whole, and enabling the prevention of a compressor from damages caused by moisture. SOLUTION: This method for processing the fabric with ammonia comprises a vaporizing process of immersing the processing fabric (c) in a liquid ammonia vessel 6 in a processing chamber 1 and then volatilizing the ammonia from the processed fabric (c) by heating, a cleaning process of vaporizing the ammonia from the processed fabric (c) in a volatilizing chamber 2, a moisture-removing process by cooling treated gas (a) generated in the processing chamber 1, a liquefying/re-feeding process of highly compressing the moisture-removed gas by a compressor 28 and then forming the liquid ammonia in a condenser 30 and then feeding to the processing chamber 1, an absorbing process of absorbing the ammonia in the treated gas (b) generated in the volatilizing chamber 2 by an absorbing column 44, a distillation process of distilling the obtained absorbed liquid by a distilling column 51 to form a high concentration ammonia gas and returning it to the compressor 28 and a cleaning and neutralizing process of neutralizing the gas discharged from the absorbing column 44 with an acid, and also adding the pressure-reduced and expanded ammonia gas obtained from the condenser 30 to the treated gas (a).
