摘要： A system and method for Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) system is disclosed that provides data service of a digital broadcast. The DLNA system includes a digital media server for providing information about a broadcast A/V and data so as to handle a request for the data when a digital broadcast is requested, the digital media server receiving the digital broadcast and dividing the received digital broadcast into a broadcast A/V part and a data part so as to download the broadcast A/V part and the data part, respectively, and a digital media player for requesting the digital media server to transmit information about the digital broadcast, and to transmit data after receiving information about the broadcast A/V part and the data part from the digital media server, and for receiving and carrying out the requested data.

摘要： A method for updating contents of a Digital Media Server (DMS) in a digital living network alliance system (DLNA) is dislcosed. An update process is performed through a periodic update event in a Digital Media Player (DMP) that receives all content information of the DMS. Upon determining that information loss has occurred in the update process, the DMP sends to the DMS a request for information about a list of items possessed by the DMS. The DMP receives the requested information about the list of items and compares the received information about the list of items with information about pre-stored items to obtain a comparison result. When a difference occurs as the comparison result, all information about contents of the DMS is obtained through a browse action. When the difference does not occur as the comparison result, the update process is continuously performed.

摘要： Disclosed are a system and method for controlling home appliances using a short message service. When receiving a short message including an access code from a mobile terminal, the home server checks the status of the connected home appliances and sends a short message including control codes corresponding to the status of the home appliances to the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal checks the control codes to confirm the status of the home appliances, and displays corresponding images. When the user requests to control the status of a specific home appliance, the mobile terminal automatically generates a corresponding short message and sends the short message to the home server. The home server checks the message, controls the corresponding home appliance, and then sends a short message including current status information of the controlled home appliance to the mobile terminal.

The method includes creating ESG data bursts by grouping ESG data supporting a plurality of languages for each ESG support language; establishing sessions corresponding to respective ESG data bursts; creating ESG setting data including session information and ESG grouping criteria information, the session information including Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and port numbers corresponding to the entire sessions, respectively, the ESG grouping criteria information indicating that the ESG data bursts are grouped for each ESG support language; and broadcasting the ESG setting data via a specific session and broadcasting the ESG data bursts via the established sessions.
