    • A pressure plate assembly for a friction clutch includes a housing connectable with an abutment arrangement for rotation therewith about an axis of rotation. The housing has an outer axial side and an inner axial side. A pressure plate is mounted in the housing so that it faces the inner axial side. The pressure plate is rotatable with the housing about the axis of rotation. The pressure plate includes actuating sections which extend past a radially outer edge of the housing. An energy storage element is mounted on the outer side of the housing such that the energy storage device exerts a force on the actuating sections for urging the pressure plate away from the inner axial side. An assembly pretensioning arrangement is operative for holding the energy storage element in a pretensioned assembly position in which the energy storage device does not exert a force on the housing.

    • A motor vehicle drive train with a clutch device installed between a drive unit and a transmission having at least one transmission input shaft to transmit torque between the drive unit and the transmission. The clutch device comprises at least one clutch arrangement assigned to a respective transmission input shaft, where an input side of the clutch device is connected directly or indirectly by way of a torque-transmitting arrangement to a connecting end of a power takeoff shaft of the drive unit. The torque-transmitting arrangement has a radially outer connecting area for connection to the clutch device and a radially inner connecting area for the direct or indirect connection to the connecting end by the mediation of at least one positive connecting element, which connects the radially inner connecting area in a positive manner to the connecting end or to a component or assembly attached nonrotatably to the connecting end, and which secures the radially inner connecting area on the connecting end or on the component or assembly in the axial direction. The positive connecting element is located in a central radial area relative to an axis of rotation (A) of the clutch device, which area is essentially the same as or smaller than the radial area occupied by the minimum of one transmission input shaft.

The clutch system include a first coupling area and a second coupling area. The first coupling area includes a first pressure plate for pressing a friction area of a first clutch disc against an abutment area, the first pressure plate being rotatable with the housing arrangement, and first actuator device for activating the first coupling area to execute controlling operations. The second coupling area includes a second pressing plate for pressing a friction area of a second clutch disc against an abutment area, the second pressure plate being rotatable with the housing arrangement, and a second actuator device for activating the second coupling area to execute controlling operations. The first actuator device and/or the second actuating device is designed for generating an actuating force that acts upon the respectively assigned coupling area in the direction of engagement.
