摘要： This invention provides a method and a mold for improving the release of a molded ophthalmic device from a mold. The method comprises the steps of: providing a first mold half and second mold half each having opposing top surfaces at least one of which has been hollowed out to define a cavity for forming said ophthalmic device and at least said first mold half further defining a boundary for a release element, said boundary is part of said cavity, said release element comprising a ramped surface, said cavity having a corresponding ramped surface, and said release element having its widest part near the top surface of said at least said first mold half that defines said release element therein. The mold of this invention has a hollowed-out portion as part of the cavity to provide a release element to the molded ophthalmic device.

摘要： A magnetic encoding device and method for making the same are provided for use as magnetic storage mediums in identification control applications which give output signals from a reader that are of shorter duration and substantially greater magnitude than those of the prior art. Magnetic encoding elements are produced by uniformly bending wire or strip stock of a magnetic material longitudinally about a common radius to exceed the elastic limit of the material and subsequently mounting the material so that it is restrained in an unbent position on a substrate of nonmagnetic material. The elements are spot weld attached to a substrate to form a binary coded array of elements according to a desired binary code. The coded substrate may be enclosed in a plastic laminate structure. Such devices may be used for security badges, key cards, and the like and may have many other applications.

Each bucket assembly includes a plurality of buckets spaced from one another along a common axis. 摘要： A computer-based system and method which incorporates long-range weather forecasts in a predictive model which quantifies historical weather impact relationships between datasets, and uses the long-range weather forecasts to predict future weather impact on managerial plans. The predictive model can use multiple regression or a neural network. In a retail application, the computer-based system and method has a weather impact predictive model based on correlations of historical weather and point-of-sale store transactions data. The weather impact model is coupled with long-range weather forecasts to adjust managerial plans for buying, distribution, financial budgeting, promotional and advertising applications. A graphical user interface provides easy assimilation of analysis for specific managerial planning applications.
