    • A silver halide photographic material containing at least one of couplers represented by the general formula [I] and at least one of the compounds represented by the general formula [XII] is disclosed. ##STR1## wherein Z is a group of nonmetal atoms necessary to complete a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring where the ring formed by Z may be substituted; X is a hydrogen atom or a substituent capable of being released upon reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent and R is a hydrogen atom or substituent; ##STR2## wherein R.sub.21 is a hydrogen atom or a group selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group and aryl group, R.sub.22 and R.sub.23 are independently selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group and an aryl group.The photographic material provides a dye-image highly stable against heat and light, and a formation of stain at a non-image area is prevented.

    • There is disclosed a novel silver halide photosensitive color photographic material comprising a coupler which consists of a coupling component (A) which is capable of causing a coupling reaction with an oxidized color developing agent and a substituent component bonded at the coupling position of said coupling component (A), which substituent component is capable of being split off on coupling reaction, the improvement characterized in that said substituent comprises a coupling component (B) which can undergo coupling reaction with an oxidized color developing agent when released from said coupling component (A) and a photographically useful component which is capable of being released on coupling reaction of said coupling component (B).The color photographic material according to the present invention provides graininess, sharpness and color reproducibility which is sufficiently competent to the requirement of further miniturization of film size by use of a coupler having novel functions.

    • A thermographic material is disclosed which comprises a support and provided thereon, a recording layer containing a photolytic free radical generating agent capable of providing a free radical on absorption of light, a dye decolored by the free radical, and an anti-decolorizing agent, the photolytic free radical generating agent and dye being contained in a microcapsule in the recording layer, and the anti-decolorizing agent being present outside the microcapsule in the recording layer, wherein an image is formed by imagewise heating the thermographic material to mix the anti-decolorizing agent with the photolytic free radical generating agent and the dye to form a latent image, and then exposing the heated material to light which the photolytic free radical generating agent absorbs, so that the dye at the latent image portions is not decolored and the dye at portions other than the latent image portions is decolored.
