    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polyolefin foam emitting scarce odors, using an inorganic foaming agent, and having an expansion ratio of 6 or above.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a crosslinked polyolefin foam in which a foam having an expansion ratio of 6 or above is prepared by heating and expanding a crosslinkable expandable composition obtained by adding, to a polyolefin resin, a foaming agent, namely a compound generating a carbon dioxide gas and steam as a result of decomposition in a heated state, and a crosslinking agent and then kneading the resulting admixture and in which the foam is treated, following the passage of at least 24 hours since the preparation thereof as a method for restoring a shrunk foam, for 1-48 hours within a high-pressure nitrogen gas or high-pressure air atmosphere of 0.2 MPa to 20 MPa at or above 35°C and at or below the softening point of the polyolefin resin so as to restore the shrunk foam is capable of realizing the goal of obtaining a polyolefin foam emitting scarce odors, using an inorganic foaming agent, and having an expansion ratio of 6 or above.
