    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded body for dental purpose and a resin material for dental purpose that have excellent safety without anxiety of elution of bisphenol-A and satisfy the physical properties that are required in denture base, tentatively covered dental crown, artificial teeth or the like.
      SOLUTION: The molded body for dental purpose according to this invention is mainly composed of a copolymerized polyester resin (PET-G) including the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) units and the poly-1,4-dimethylenecyclohexane terephthalate (PCT) units and of polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) at a weight ratio of (20 to 90)/(80 to 10). The resin material for dental purpose according to this invention has excellent heat resistance to be used even at 100°C. Further, it has 1.5 fold flexural strength that of PET-G. It can be colored to desired color as a denture base without damage to transparency and shows good adhesion to acrylic resin, too. Fibrous reinforcing agent and other polyester resin also may be admixed to this resin material.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental resin material solving the drawbacks involved in conventional polycarbonate resins, seldom causing stains even if used for a long period in the oral cavity, and suitable for producing dental molded forms including denture bases, tentative covering crowns and artificial teeth. SOLUTION: The dental resin material comprises at least one of the following: a cyclic olefin polymer A obtained by ring-opening metathesis polymerization of norbornene followed by graft polymerization of maleic anhydride, a cyclic olefin polymer B obtained by copolymerization of norbornene with an α-olefin followed by graft polymerization of maleic anhydride, a cyclic olefin polymer C having a specific norbornene-based skeleton. Each of these cyclic olefin polymers A to C has a glass transition point of 100°C or higher, a water absorption of 0.4 wt.% or less, and a flexural modulus of 2,300 MPa or higher.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polyolefin foam emitting scarce odors, using an inorganic foaming agent, and having an expansion ratio of 6 or above.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a crosslinked polyolefin foam in which a foam having an expansion ratio of 6 or above is prepared by heating and expanding a crosslinkable expandable composition obtained by adding, to a polyolefin resin, a foaming agent, namely a compound generating a carbon dioxide gas and steam as a result of decomposition in a heated state, and a crosslinking agent and then kneading the resulting admixture and in which the foam is treated, following the passage of at least 24 hours since the preparation thereof as a method for restoring a shrunk foam, for 1-48 hours within a high-pressure nitrogen gas or high-pressure air atmosphere of 0.2 MPa to 20 MPa at or above 35°C and at or below the softening point of the polyolefin resin so as to restore the shrunk foam is capable of realizing the goal of obtaining a polyolefin foam emitting scarce odors, using an inorganic foaming agent, and having an expansion ratio of 6 or above.
