SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a light guide plate and a liquid crystal display device having the light guide plate. The liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal display panel; a light guide plate which is disposed at a rear side of the liquid crystal display panel and has an exiting surface facing the liquid crystal display panel and a reflecting surface opposite to the exiting surface and having grooves formed therein; and a light source unit disposed along at least one end of the light guide plate. The reflecting surface includes a first region formed with a groove of a first length and a second region formed with a groove of a second length shorter than the first length.
